I tried to look it up..but I just ordered a new front bumper. I have sensors that will not work with it..I don’t use em anyway.

A lot of aftermarket bumpers will have holes for the sensors that are covered with plugs when not needed

I think he's asking about unplugging and removing the sensors.....

Correct. My bumper has no holes and since I don’t need lane assistance I have never used it or the front parking sensors. I am wondering if I tack them up in the area behind and keep off, or what to do with them. And I don’t plan to restore my previous bumper ever

No holes. I know lots of guys lost their sensors with new bumpers...curious what others have done with them.

I would search the forum to see who has the bumper that you are getting and PM them to see what they did. Just a thought.

    Hey, what was the outcome?

I don’t think all Tundra‘s come with the front sensors is what I’m thinking.

Even if you don’t use them, I believe you’ll get a malfunction notification on the dash every time you start the truck if they aren’t plugged in and functional. Even if you’re not using them, the ecu still gets a reading from them to ensure they are in working order. If not, it triggers malfunction lights.

OME Nitrocharger/2612 (front), Bilstein 5100s (rear). Vanguard roll bar modified (by me) to fit over Patriot Stealth retractable tonneau. Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
Measure the holes on your old bumper, go buy some decent bi-metal hole saws, problem solved

I pulled the sensors. And turned off the front sensors in two ways, I did it with the button and through the trucks dashboard. Haven’t had any issues. The wiring exists to the original harness but I decided to just leave that as is.

    Very nice! Hard to do?

Do you think you could do this the front TSS sensor in the grill?

I went with an extreme terrain HD2. Not because it’s priced affordably. It was my favorite other than the stealth.

Not hard, the bumper swap overall didn’t take too long. I think folks have done this with TSS.

You cannot eliminate the pre collision sensor in the grill. The dealership can “turn it off” so that it does not default to on every time you turn the truck on. But you must sign a liability waiver, it will permanently disable the pre collision and dynamic cruise control, you will have a constant light on the dash indicating the system is off and it cannot be re enabled if you ever decide to trade in.

Thank you! The exact quality answer I was looking for. I don’t know what would happen in my scenario so appreciate the explanation.

Appreciate it. I am happy with them. I like them better than my old Nitto’s in snow for sure.
