Hey I don’t usually post on the forums. I mainly just look for the answers but This time I can’t find the answer. My tundras key fob isn’t working and it’s getting really annoying especially because I want to install a remote start with the factory key fob. Anyways I’ve tried just about everything I’ve seen on the internet
1.I’ve done the key fob procedure to get it to programming mode but no response
2.ive checked all the fuses and they’re all good
3.ive replaces the battery’s on the key fob and even got a new one. Still nothing

so at this point I’m not sure what else to check or what to do
The only thing that I find odd or weird is that the anti theft light is not turning on like flashing or anything it’s just simply not turning on at all

any ideas or help would be appreciated.

This is so strange because my key fob just went out this afternoon. My antitheft light on the dash is blinking though. I replaced the battery and the key fob is still not working. What is this keyfob procedure for programming mode?

Are your key fobs OEM or After market?

You are not the first persons I have read about that has had a problem with the Youtube video.

With all the frustration of this, at this point it may be worth your money of approx $130 at the dealer and have them reprogram it. I just had my daughters new fob programed and no frustration at all. I know it is all about saving $$$$ and doing it yourself, but sometimes you have to break down and have it done. Let the dealer have all the fun, and the frustration when it does not cooperate.

I recently used an Autel MK808 to reprogram a new key and a new fob so if you know anyone who has a similar device it is not complicated and I am no mechanic! I figured it was cheaper ,in the long run(have several cars in the family) , to buy the Autel and do it myself rather than keep paying dealers to do it.As far as the door opening/closing dance on Youtube I tried it many times and it never worked.

On a seperate note I have been trying to install a Start-X remote start on the truck for over a month now and have still not managed it. 43 emails back and fore with them and Fortin and it has narrowed down to some sort of immobiliser issue. It cranks but does not start.I also had to buy a Flash Link to reprogramme the unit as I live overseas. So unless you are very patient and have lots of spare time I might give this a miss.
