You need to find a fellow Tundras member near you...the wireless Carplay is plug and forget, this one takes very little effort. Both would be good “dip your toe in the water” mods!

 

The wireless charger is easy. Just a bunch of screws. It comes with a t-harness and plugs into the back of the 12v plug on rear of console. No wire cutting and splicing.

 

Personalized plates are everywhere here in AZ. My Tacoma was PROTACO, my Samurai is ZUKROLL. PROTUNDY and PROTUNDRA don’t fit so I went with:

 

AJT Designs Steering wheel overlay arrived yesterday in Lunar Rock. I pulled it out of the bag and thought "did they send me Cement on accident?" So I held it up to the truck with my flashlight and he match is pretty damn good. If you hold the right light over the emblem, you can catch the green, and in other light it looks plain gray.

 

Looks good! Meso Customs just picked up a Lunar Rock Tundra so you can expect a bunch of perfectly color matched stuff from him shortly as well as all sorts of great interior lighting, puddle lights, etc.

 

Thanks Lowe’s for the reserved parking. They forgot to paint TRD on it though.

 

That looks good. I am thinking of having some Interior plastics wrapped (in matte black or carbon fiber) and wanted an overlay for the logo. Was looking at AJT site last week and see he has now added LR to all items like the key fobs as they weren’t available a few weeks back. I wondered if the LR emblem would work or not. Was thinking matte black or cement would be the safe picks but that looks great.

What’s the thought on rear vs front sway bars. I mostly only see rear. Does the front bill or take away any body roll?

 

There is a front sway bar from the factory. It can be upgraded to the TRD model but there is no rear sway bar at all. That’s why it makes such a big difference.

What does "Out of Inventory" even mean for a car? Shouldn't they just produce more of the in demand model? Especially one with higher mark up and profit for the manufacturer?

 

It means that Toyota is keeping my resale value up! In all reality Toyota’s configurator is region based. Put in a zip code in another part of the country and there might be a Lunar Rock available.

 

LOL. Toyota isn't making any more markup on them than they do any other truck. The dealers are the ones doing the markup.
Toyota does, however, "allocate" production of the number of units of each trim/color/etc. and the where they will be shipped. So, like @realprotundra said, try some different zip codes to see what might be allocated to other regions.

And if you're looking for a DC Pro in Lunar Rock, you may indeed be hunting a unicorn. There are a couple, but they will be the rarest of all versions of TRD Pro and from the threads I've seen on production numbers of other colors, they don't make very many in a model year (max ~100 total).

 

So my 2012 ram came with one from the factory. I noticed a big difference in how the tundra handled. It seemed to lean a lot more going around turns or sharp curves. I have not got to test it out except a little ride down the road today but it seems to be a little better. I’ll know tomorrow for sure.

 

Got the Wildpeaks 295/70/18, TRD ABS inlays on today. The line x dealer ordered the wrong Lomax tonneau so won’t get that on until tomorrow. Think I’m all done unless maybe running boards and carbon fiber vinyl wrap on interior plastics.

 

Decided in early December that I wanted a new truck. Wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted, but I knew I needed one. Didn’t really look at anything else but the Raptor and the TRD PRO.
I’ve owned several Toyota’s in the past, but there’s always been one car that I’ve regretted selling. My 2011 TT FJ army green.
So I decided (with the wife’s blessing) to trade in our 2010 4Runner Limited and a 2014 Audi S4 for a Tundra Pro. So I called a good friend and asked if he had any Pros on the lot full knowing that he didn’t. He told me that he had a few in allocation and I told him to call me when it arrived.
Fast forward four weeks and here she is.

I know some people have asked (I forget which threads they asked in, so I’m hitting a few of them). I managed to relocate my Media/CarPlay port function to be in the center console and got it all finished up today.

PORSCHE has always used very unique colors with their badazz different makes of the famous 911. But I agree that the unique colors are for sure spreading!

Hell, Even Harley Davidson jumped on board in 2018 with a "BattleShip Gray" CVO Road Glide. And now for the 2021 model year, guess what colors is new?

Got it’s first snow tonight. Doesn’t happen very often in Louisiana.

 

Man I've been trying to hunt one down for awhile now. The few I have found within 500 mile radius have like 10k mark ups. My local dealer claims one is being built as we speak and they might be able to reserve it at actual msrp. I'm hoping so. In fact one dealer has two of them idk how but no budging on price.

 

Didn’t even thing to get photos on mine this morning. Got about 1.5” on it and all I did was walk out to start scraping off the snow. Missed opportunity there.

 

That’s about how much we got. I let the kids play in it this morning and it’s all gone now.

Supposed to be Lunar Rock. Looks grey to me but I like the size.

 

Hold it up to your truck and see if it matches. I thought the same thing about the steering wheel emblem overlay when I got it, but when I actually held it to the truck it was a dead match. Crazy how this color changes based on the backdrop.

 

How much smaller is the v2 vs v1? The v1 looked kinda big to me. I like how it held the hard key tho.
