I've flown Alaska once before - they are at least as good as Delta. But Delta was too proud of their tickets for this flight.

Not really, except for repeatedly bad service.

First, a worthless, brain-dead TSA agent stole my daughter's very nice Camelback water bottle - because it was not bone dry inside. I seriously think they purposefully look for Special Ed dropouts to be TSA agents. We didn't have time to fight it.

Then, it was snowing and the plane had to be de-iced before leaving SLC. I'd seen that before but my wife thought it was cool. That process delayed our takeoff by about 30 minutes - and our layover in PHX was already less than an hour. VERY fortunately, our connecting flight was departing from the gate LITERALLY right across from the gate we debarked from. As we got off the SLC-PHX flight, we got right in line - as the last boarders - of our PHX-DFW flight. We didn't think our luggage or ski bags would make the transfer but we weren't too concerned since we were going home.

Then, when we landed in DFW, we wanted to take advantage of the slightly longer layover to grab a bite to eat since the airlines give you NOTHING on the flights anymore. But NOOOO! All the idiots deplaning before us apparently were at their final destination and took their time getting their crap and getting off the plane. And the American Airline flight attendants were WORTHLESS even when we voiced our need to catch a connecting flight!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

We had to go from A terminal to B terminal, which seems close, but DFW apparently doesn't know their alphabet. To them, it's ACDB on the shuttle. By the time we got to our gate, the only option for eats was a vending machine, which took our payment but wouldn't give up any food. We then had to catch the flight, only to pull away from the gate and WAIT ON THE TARMAC FOR OVER AN HOUR!!!!!!!!!!!! No news, no water, no food, no SERVICE from AA flight attendants. We thought we would have to go back for more fuel but FINALLY, the pilot announced we were 2nd in line to take off. We finally landed at PNS and caught a Wendy's right out of the airport exit just as they were closing. I can skip meals and make it just fine, but if my wife misses a meal, she gets HANGRY! I knew she wasn't mad at me so I just laughed at her, which might have made her a little mad at me.

When we landed, I went to get the truck while my wife and kids retrieved our luggage and ski bags. The Pensacola airport is fairly small so I expected to get my truck, pull around, and wait for 30 minutes while they waited for our stuff to show up - IF it showed up after the close call in PHX. I was surprised to see them all waiting to be picked up - with all of our bags! - when I pulled around. Someone upstairs realized we were on our last nerve and had mercy on us!

Anyway, I got REALLY nice comments on my truck (the ride) from my wife and kids on the 45 minute drive home. We had been stuck with a RAM Warlock all week, driving to all the ski resorts. NOT a good riding truck!

So we arrived at SLC at about 10 am MST for an 11:53 flight, and got our next meal at about 9:45 pm CST after all the frustrations. I wanted to find an American pilot and thank him for being the only competent person on his flight crew. We did take off and land safely after all.

THEN, tonight we realize that the TSA was not satisfied with stealing my daughter's water bottle. They also stole, or at least lost, my wife's expensive shampoo and conditioner when they went through our stuff. I know EXACTLY where I packed it because I had to move it from one piece of luggage to another to keep everything under 50 lbs. There is a special place in HELL for TSA agents! They would be too comfortable in normal Hell!

Needless to say, it was a long Monday today. I'm going to bed now. Catch y'all on the flip side.

Wow, and wow, that just sounded awful and hate that you had that experience.

As rough of a go you had domestically, that and then some is the bizne (business as usual) the last times I have flown into CDMX México City...
