That sounds perfect then. The biggest gripe with ours was that the former owner that built the cabinets didn't leave much room for the microwave and I'd have to duck under it to see any food I was cooking in the back.
Congrats on the new kitchen equipment - that's got to feel pretty good.

Had a fun day fishing wires for the soffit lighting but was able to get that project done.

Thanks! It will feel better when we actually have a functional kitchen. Been 2 months as of yesterday. The tile guy just finished laying tile in there today, but still needs to do the grout.

Looks good! We're looking to do that soon too. I was gonna do it myself, but think I'm gonna get my buddy to do it. I'd prob rather pay him than mess it up

Thanks, wasn't to bad have about $300 tied up in the material but it's on a dedicated circuit with 3 separate switches (front, sides, and back).

Definitely don't want to mess up when your dealing with Electricity.

I figure getting one of the pigs done is “home improvement”

You guys are making great progress..I'm about 5 months in and still not finished. Waiting on my island cabinets and back splash tile to come in.

This covid had made the remodel a nightmare. It took 2 months to get the windows , 5 months for interior doors , 5 months to get the floor tile. Heck it took 3 months to get a KitchenAid dishwasher.
And in the summer I couldn't get supplies for a new sprinkler system.

Friend quoted about 700 for everything I think. We have a switch already dedicated for soffit outlets, but think I may add another switch so I don't overload that one. I'm not too savvy with electrical. Simple things here n there. Otherwise, I'll pay someone to make sure I dont hurt myself or family

Oh man, and here I thought we had it bad with a 7 week wait for cabinets and a two week delay with the tile guy showing up. Our doors and windows only took about 2-3 weeks to show up. The front door took a bit longer, but everything is here for the most part. We ordered tile that was in stock, so that helped. I'm hopeful that we'll be done before the end of February with everything.

We will have pretty much updated everything in the house by the end of this year. All bathrooms are the next major undertaking. Will have help with tile.

We had a similar issue with Microwave height and went with a whirlpool low profile one for over the stove. We haven't had any issue with height of items being reheated. The exhaust fan works surprisingly well since it is slightly deeper than a standard microwave. I didn't know these existed, but ended up seeing a display at lowes.

I forgot about those. I can't remember why we didn't get one but I want to say we wanted one with the largest space inside that we could get, so we ended up with a big LG. It's pretty cool - it plays little tunes when it's done. Everybody does a little dance.
