It's official, bang bang closings on Wednesday. Been working on the main house since Friday, I'll try and get some pics of the main house later today. We are exhausted.

Someday we will get this fixed up

Check the parts stores first, pretty sure they rent the tool.

Well, okay. They're ready ordered. I'll do a browse for the Napa units when I get time. See what the price difference is.

I'll stick this in my note pad thread.

What all have you replaced at this point and what's left? I've had trouble keeping track.

No pics because cold, but I squirted a lot of my used engine oil into the boxed section of the frame.

Need a squirt bottle with an aerosol fan tip. 10W-40 may be too thick to aerosol.

Looks like your Greasings are holding up nicely and becoming that matte doughy protective layer as discussed. The initial Greasing seems freaky with all the shine and debris sticking to the freshness then it wears into Silky Smoov Matte.

Very true here. Transmission cross member is a dull sticky now. Not a shiny sticky like the drivers side frame horn is RIGHT NOW.

I can still see bare metal under the grease as discussed earlier. Grease is doing its jobs.

Hoping this stick of marine grease will hold up better in the "hard to get to" areas like under the skid.

There is another 2/2 house on the property that we are planning on renting, that will help pay for the renovations. Bonus is it's paid for in full, no f*#! mortgage. And you are 100% correct, we have our work cut out for us. Someday, somehow it will get done,

Unfortunately we cannot insure it from what I understand, I have some investigating to do to confirm. It was built in the 50's and somehow survived a number of serious storms so I'm not concerned (yet). The way I see it, waterfront property here in Florida is unattainable for blue collar stiffs like myself so I'll take the shit shack and smile

I'm going to test drive an 06 Double Cab for one of our members that lives out of state. It was wrecked previously with airbag deployment. Is there anything I should look at specific to double cabs or the wreck other than the obvious things? I'm going to be checking the frame as thoroughly as I can. There is no record of the timing belt ever being done but I'm not sure if I'll be able to tell at the dealership. I'll look for a sticker under the hood.

Did the Tundras member get a carfax? Sometimes they specify what part of the vehicle was damaged. You could really look that area over.
