Hello I'm looking to purchase a new Tundra and wanted some extras added. The dealership quoted me the following: Do these prices seem reasonable?

    ROCK RAILS 3 STEP $1095

    BLACK OUT FRONT $695

    BED LINER $895

    FENDER FLARES $1695

    TOTAL ---------

    $11370

Welcome from Colorado. You're gonna have to give more specific info as @GNTundra said. There are many types of lifts etc and without knowing details hard to tell. I would suggest go online and look for prices of what the dealer will put on and see if it's a good deal. Chance someone are it will be cheaper aftermarket as dealers have an up charge. So it will also come down to if you want to spend cash out of pocket or finance the mods.

3495 for wheels and tires better be some top of the line stuff there. Seems extremely high though.

LIFT - What brand and height?

20’ WHEELS & TIRES - What brand wheels and tires and size of tires

ROCK RAILS 3 STEP - Get sliders

BLACK OUT FRONT - Which part and how?

BED LINER - Linex is better for 2/3 of that price

FENDER FLARES - Way too much

A little of this and a little of that.

3/1.5 lift. TRD sway bar. Bakflip V1 cover. Fuel wheels w/BFG A/T.
You could add all of that for about half the price. Can you do basic installs yourself? Spacer lift or new coilovers isn't too difficult. I just put on a very nice set of 20" wheels and tires. Paid $2200 out the door. That included mount and balance and new TPMS. I've seen Tundras at dealerships with $15-20k price increases for lift and new wheels. Insane!

I would buy the truck stock and make the changes you want as you go, after doing your homework for each mod. You will save money and ensure you have exactly what you want.

    Good luck!!

IMG_4273.jpg IMG_4277.jpg I had a feeling these prices were way out of line! I will get all the specifics once this recall is lifted. I asked the dealership for a breakdown of the accessories and this is all they provided me with:(

That's poor on their end. They should have provided you with a detailed list. The "blacked out" front end looks like flat paint or plastidip over the stock grill, no way is that worth $700.

    The truck is nice though!

Could easily do all that for a fraction of the cost yourself depending on specifics of course like everybody else has said.

I've only spent right under 2k on a COILOVER lift AND tires. Probably another 1k on wheels in a few months.

Others can be done better for less. Definitely get it stock and make it how you like.
That IS a nice tundra though.

Best I've seen by me is the BDS/Fox 4.0 Coil lift, but those trucks were marked up 15-20k with the rest of their goodies.

Is that lift and wheels the Fuel rims, monster tires, and pro comp they are advertising right now? If so, it's not a bad setup but the tires they are throwing in are huge, no name brand (which may or may not be decent), and LIKE 37s, which ends up being more money down the road to maintain the truck with that size tire.

Everything you mentioned seems high and if you wrap it into the loan even more at the end of the road. You can add all of those items after purchase for much less.

Here's the issue. Parts and service are supplying the labor and parts. Most of the time, the parts are a modest markup because they are accessories, and the labor is typically done at a discounted rate because they are accessories as well. (At least, that's how it's done here) THEN, sales marks up the accessories because they need a piece of the action too. Some upcharge is alright because they are financing the stuff into the deal to make it easier for the customer. BUT, from my experience, most sales departments upcharge the crap out of accessories. It's how they can give you an awesome price on the truck, and still make a good profit.

In my city, one of the Toyota dealers is installing ToyTec Boss suspension systems now. If your going to be made to walk over hot coals, better be something on the other side worth the effort.

My 40" MTR and Raceline Beadlocks were 2800.00 new, so 3500.00 is pretty spendy.
Bedliner, especially factory (not sure if Toyota does this option in the factory floor) should be a good value. I paid 450.00 for my factory bedliner.
1600.00 for fender flairs? No way in hell. You can order color matched for more than half of that cost.

Good luck with your search, sounds like you may have already purchased this truck. If not, I would walk. Check out a few of the build threads on here. These people come up with some really cool ideas and build some sweet rides. I'm not saying it is cheaper in the long run, they just end up with a lot better parts and experience.

a painted grille and a small light bar for $700 sure doesn't scream value... you're being bent over.
either way, i don't want the dealership to make the decision and set me up with the accessories that they like... i'm the one paying to drive the truck and would prefer to choose things for myself.

I have not purchased this truck. They are wanting $68k out the door. I really like it but I feel their accessories they added is way to high price. Im better buying same truck and having the accessories done somewhere else
