Hi guys! So I am a bit new to this whole Tundra forums so I made an account to specifically see if anyone knew what was up with the loud squeaking coming from my Toyota Tundra (2008 SR5 Double Cab at 173k miles). At first I automatically assumed it needed new brakes but checked both front and rear brakes and are still good. It only makes the squeaking noise when I'm driving about 10-20 MPH while accelerating and also braking and it's very loud. I will attach youtube links so you can hear what it sounds like specifically.

Oh okay. I did a little google search and I'm guessing that to take care of the issue I just need to clean and lubircate these bushings? Apologies, but I'm also not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to cars but I'm definitely willing to learn :)
I'm also very thankful for the quick response and help!

    Ya defiantly
Lubricate everything, grease everything up and go from there.

Lots of options for what the noise is. Could be bushing, ball joint, brake related etc.. Do you have a local repair shop that you could call and ask for the cost to do a diagnosis? Then at least you know what needs to be done and can decide what to do. You won’t get something like this fixed on the Internet...

what specifically are you saying needs grease or to be lubricated? There’s no grease fittings on the factory suspension bushings/ball joints.

Could also be the shock. The video of you driving sounds like my buddies Tacoma did and his driver side shock was bad. But the second video reversing and pulling forward I heard more of a dry bushing sound.

Jack up one wheel at a time and spin it by hand. When you do the rear, the transmission will need to be in neutral so chock all three of the other wheels to be on the safe side.

I agree with the suggestion to jack up one wheel at a time and give it a spin. That sounds like something happening at about the same period as your wheel is rotating, so you could have something rubbing on one wheel.

Just an update for those that were probably curious as to what it was causing the weird squeaking on my truck. My front driver's wheel was holding on for dear life and was missing a wheel stud and lug nut. As we unscrewed another lug nut a second wheel stud broke off leaving me with 2 broken studs and my tire was only being supported by 3 working studs and lug nuts. Ended up replacing the whole wheel bearing because replacing just the studs didn't fix the issue. After swapping the whole wheel bearing it stopped the whole squeaking noise and drives like a beaut! Thank you for everyone's advice!

Excellent to hear. There is probability that the stud failure was in part, or whole, due to insane torque on the wheel lugs (by a ham fisted gorilla "mechanic"). I hope it was put back together with lug torque more in the 80lb-ft to 90lb-ft range.
