What I notice about the 8 is when I come to a hill the truck just keeps on keeping on. So different from the hybrid.

Any diagram reading Sparkys out there that can confirm that adding an extra 3amps bulbs is safe to this 10amp circuit?

Back up circuit looks to be 10amp connected with 15amp ACC circuit. The back up circuit also ties into the Tow Package which has its own 30amp circuit with relays etc.

Osram bulbs will consume 6amps (factory consumes 3amps) on a 10amp total circuit. Seems like extra wiggle room on the 10amp circuit. Anyone see the same? Looks like a diode and reverse instrument panel bulb take up some amps in the 10amp circuit.

Two of these reverse bulbs (in rear assys) take up 6amps to replace Factory bulbs that take up 3amps. In essence, a 3amp over the factory draw. Total circuit is 10amps. I see nothing else on the circuit drawing any Amps other than a diode (basically nothing) and the instrument panel reverse bulb.

Seems like there is 4amps wiggle room. (10amp circuit - 6amp Osram bulbs = 4amps).

Quick question for the suspension Maxx sway link people.

I know @FirstGenVol has a set, but I'm not sure about anyone else.

Did you torque to OEM spec on the sway bar mount, or follow the directions from Suspension Maxx? Those are two very different torques from what I'm finding.

I have no memory of what I did. I'd go with the suspension maxx recommendation.

Alright then. Maybe this will jog your memory...

Do you remember being pissed off that they used a 9/16 nut for the through bolt on the link, and a 19 mm for the mount on the lower arm?

    That irked me.

It’s documented on tacomaworld about using landscaping HIR bulbs in the reverse lights. Chances are, this would be fine too

Well does double the amps = double the thermal units?
Because you'll also have to worry about melting your housing &/or lens - like the 3rd brake light tends to do.

This is why I replaced my 3rd brake light. The housing was melted through on the top, and bottom of the reflector.

LEDS in that application are at least twice as bright as the same LEDS were before.

Yeah. My Cargo Assy has the holes burnt into them which I taped up with Silver Metal HVAC Tape found on the street corner. Works! I put LED’s in them years ago and upgraded to newer LED Sylvania 2 years ago.

Back to the reverse assy: Only reason I am going for it is that the circuit seems to allow the extra Amps. Also, the Reverse Bulbs won’t be firing for more than a few seconds. I’ve had the Cargos on for long times at night in the past and that assy is tight leading to the burned holes. The Reverse Light Assy Chamber is larger and bulb will be on for little at a time. Those are my reasoning factors.
