Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Pro fog lights installed. Update 4/17/21. Now with SS3 Max.

There is normally a box checked on the side indicating which it is. I guess the only way to know for sure is hook them up to a 12v source and if the beam is crisp and thin, they are the sports. If it’s taller and a little less crisp, they are the pros.

I ordered some SS3 Sports for my wife's Pathfinder thru Hotshot Offroad, they are a vendor on tacoma world. was an easy order, I even messaged Colton on TW if he had harness adapters separately since there is not a P-N-P kit for pathfinders, he did, and included them for $8 or $9 with my order.

I did a little damage too on Black Friday. I was hoping the DD sale was going to be 20% like last year. I was thinking of ordering the Max lights in yellow and move my pros over to the pathfinder. Decided on the sports due to the tighter vertical pattern and the patherfider lights only being 12 inches off the ground. The savings let me order some BD S1s.

 

Well unfortunately one of my Pros already died. After about 1 minute of run time. I troubleshooted just to make sure it wasn't a wiring issue by switching the wiring and the lights to different sides and in different combinations, and unfortunately the one light is definitely dead

So now I have an email out to Lightwerks to see what I can do about a warranty claim and replacement. It's pretty disappointing to say the least.

 

Just received my DD max led pod , can't wait to install!!!

 

Had enough daylight to get the DD led pods installed on the driver side . I think the installation went great, no jiggle.

 

Small update on my one dead Pro light with less than a minute of run time. Lightwerkz was extremely quick to respond to my inquiry about a warranty claim, and they were very helpful in getting a claim opened up for me though Diode Dynamics. Since I did the diagnosis work and was able to identify that it was certainly the one light, and not a harness or some other issue, they had no problem requesting a replacement light on my behalf.

I'll post some pictures one I get everything hooked back up, but I just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to Lightwerkz. I absolutely would order through them again.

 

Cant wait to get mine. They were ordered during bf week, (Nov 24th), from Dezert Lighting, supposedly shipped on Dec 1 and after several emails to Zach USPS finally had them on Dec 16. I'm really hoping I didn't get "dupped" by this company! Makes me think I should have went a different route to order.....

that was discussed after his post. it's a zoo escapee that was never successfully caught, so it turned into the local community pet that everyone feeds.

 

lol. Our company mascot is a Rhino. Our former ceo, who built the company into what it is, passed away due to complications after a car accident. So we put the statue in his parking spot as a memorial. And as a deeper meaning of nobody being able to park there anymore since he could never be replaced.

 

Gotcha... that is rare for a company to do something like that. Must have been important

 

We’re a family owned business. We just made our 65th anniversary this year. He took the business from a mom and pop operation into a 50 million a year company. Even to this day our work place is still heavily family oriented. My coworkers are literally like my second family. So yea. It’s been there nearly 3 years and nobody has any intention of moving it. He really was a great guy towards his employees, but also the church and his community. He was your boss, but you could shoot the shit with him like he was your long time friend.

 

That is awesome and rare.
