Might wanna try to soak them in some WD-40. Use a breaker bar too. Those are freakin tight.

Check out Capri Tools or Tekton for some good inexpensive tools with lifetime warranty.

Damn, I've even read about people mentioning the WD-40 but I forgot. I'll spray tonight and pick up a breaker bar tomorrow

I am going on 15 months of ownership with my ‘19. I can’t believe I have racked up this much mileage already.

I used my 3/8 drive ratchet and slid a two foot steel pipe over the handle. Once “sleeved”, I was able to get enough torque to loosen the bolts relatively easy. Just another suggestion until the new tools can be budgeted... Oh, and yes, that was also using penetrating oil too.

I’d use aerokroil... I’ve never had any luck with WD-40 being worth a crap for penetrating, but aerokroil has loosened up things I thought were never going to come apart.

Painted mine last weekend. Air impact broke them with no problem. Had to put them back on by hand as to not mess up the pretty newly painted bolt heads.;)

Totally agree. WD-40 can be used as a penetrate oil, but it doesn't do a great job. It's better than nothing, but sub-par to competition of dedicated penetrating oils

I typically go for PB blaster or Liquid Wrench.

Just looked up Aerokroil, not sure i can afford it . Maybe it's cheaper in other regions.....

I've used aerokroil and it works pretty good. It is expensive though. I only got the regular aerosol sized can and it's lasted a few years already.

I had no issues with my exhaust bolts that were pretty damn rusty after only 2 years in WI winters. They still creaked when they broke loose but didn't snap. I should have used it on my bumper end bolts...

I work industrial construction... spent years doing shutdowns on old paper machines and in the bellies of steel mills with millwrights and boilermakers. Aerokroil was the first thing out of the tool box at the start of the outage (or pre-outage if we could get to them). By the time things were locked out and made safe, even the crustiest of bolts would usually pop. If not, then it was cold chisels and drill bits.

I'm just going to post about how comfortable those seats are. They're not the most supportive, but I don't get fatigued in them.

Took 100 mile road trip out of town today. Normally 90 minutes door to door. But then:
    • Wifed asked yesterday to make a stop at a party store for New Years Eve decorations. I said sure!
    • Then son asks to stop at hobby store for parts...I said sure!
    • Wife wanted to buy some champagne glasses from Target for New Years...I said sure!
    • No clue what the dog ate, but his ass gas could gag a maggot this afternoon, so when he started whining I pulled over...sure did.
    • And although we left the house at 2pm, we were not at our destination by dinner time, so drive-in for dinner? Sure!

Didn't get out of the truck until 5:30...feeling good other than the crap burger I ate. I love those seats....

I didn’t get to 297k in my last truck without a lot of seat time. Or 4100 miles in two months in this one. I can’t go an hour in the passenger seat of my wife’s Forester without my foot or leg starting to ache or go numb, but I’ve gone 12 hours straight in my Tundra with only a couple of rest stops to pee and not an issue at all.

Agreed! I have about 12-14 hours of nearly consistent driving in my Tundra and I am never uncomfortable. My wife's Rogue makes me want to Lt. Dan myself though. Holy shit. Those cars are NOT built for tall people.

    A bunch
They definitely improved the seats from 2nd to 3rd gens. After about 8 hours in my 2010 I'd have a sore neck, after 5 days of 10+ hours of driving I could barely check blind spots. But did 4 days of the same in my 2016 and had no stiffness anywhere. The seats feel very stiff compared to my work F250 when I first get in but have support in the right spots and loosen up after a bit.

I would tend to agree with that. I had a 2010 prior to my 2016 and the seats were definitely comfortable, but not as supportive for large amounts of consecutive seat time.

I somewhat agree, but the Tundra seats I feel like you sit “on” and the Ford seats you sit “in”. Seat jackers have helped, but I still don’t think they’re as good as they could be. I test drove a limited and those were like sitting on a park bench.

Yeah, my 2016 F150's seats were amazing. The Tundra's were disappointing from a pure "butt feel" perspective. But the lack of fatigue or back pain (for me) tells me the ergo is just as good.

Yep, the seat jackers made all the difference for me. I always felt like I was sliding forward on the seat, it was just too flat, even with the seat adjusted all the way up in front and down in back. That 1" puts it at the right angle and I feel much more comfortable at that angle.

mine went on the passenger seat. Can not understand why the passenger seat in a platinum doesn’t have 10 way adjustability.

I've seen it a few times now, but where is everyone getting the rubber mats for the cupholder area? This hard plastic is brutal with everything just sliding around!
