SCS Black Bolts....before and after

Im actually torn.....I thought I’d like the black more. Oh well....I can change them back any time!

 

I'm a fan of leaving them silver. Allows some contrast and balance.

 

All black looks good. Did you replace all the bolts? Or paint the existing bolts?

 

Totally a preference thing, but I like black ...

 

Blacking then out makes the wheel look smaller. I like

Selfishly I would like to do the same to my rims and black out the bolts. My order for custom black, grey and white Toyota tribar hub centers hopefully arrive soon

 

Thanks for the comparison shot. This sort of solidifies for me that the black bolts don't do enough to improve the looks for me to take on the project. It does look good though - good job. Tell us what process you used.

 

Man, I look at those wheels, and I plan to order them, but I can't help but see how big a pain it'll be to keep the back sides free of mud and snow. No real easy way to get to it with a hose to spray it out.

But they look So. Damn. Good!

 

They were ebay special nylon bolts.

 

10mm wrench to take them off and put new ones on. Took 15 min tops.

 

Care to post the link? I have the Ray10s and I actually prefer the black bolts.

I like the black bolts on them. However, the contrast with the silver bolts really makes the wheel pop. Though decision.

 

Where did you get those trd center caps?

 

how long did it take to get them? ebay is quoting me 2-3 months to Hawaiʻi

 

Well, price and effort don't seem that bad. I read another post somewhere where someone painted them - too much work. I'll have to think about this option now. Thanks.

I'd remove one of yours off your rim, and take it to a hardware store to match and find size and length. That way you'll know for sure you are ordering the correct size.
