Looking for feedback on potentially purchasing this 1st Gen 2004 Double Cab Tundra (4WD). I would be the 3rd owner of the truck. Currently has 126,xxx miles and dealership is asking $7,500. Concerned about how serious the frame rust is. Tried to take as many pictures as possible. Any concerns or feedback is appreciated. IMG_0097.HEIC.jpg IMG_0096.HEIC.jpg

    Im confused?

Does it have both a Red and a Black under hood area?

You said it is a Dealers truck but they sure do not seem to be cleaning it up any to sell?

Looks terrible if I even understand what I am looking at and I do not.

Truck is in Kansas. Accidentally added a couple of the wrong pics from different truck... post should be correct now.

That thing looks like it’s seen all kinds of hell. Exterior is sun faded and undercarriage and body is rotten. Hard pass for $7500.

This truck appears to have lived its whole life in the salt belt. The miles are about the only thing it has going for it. Pass, there’s better trucks out there

RUN FAR AWAY, that black paint/undercoating is hiding something in the rear.

Hard pass. $7500 is not even close to what I'd pay. I might pay a grand for it and consider it a donor parts truck for anything that can be salvaged. That truck lived live in the rust belt and is rotted or nearly so... that black paint is hiding something too. Waste of time.

Hard to believe it’s got 126 k miles. Truck looks in bad shape. A while ago I was looking at similar Tundra, turns out it had rolled back mileage.

I don't think I would give half the asking price for that truck. I'd keep looking. We don't deal with rust on this side of the country fortunately. Two of the best things living here, is year round motorcycle riding and rust free cars.:)

Frame looks salvageable. I don’t see severe scaling or blistering of the metal. Weird how only the frame in the bed area was coated instead of the entire frame. It shows signs of neglect. Not sure if I’d want to deal with faded paint/clearcoat issues along with having to prep and treat the frame. Definitely not worth $7500 or even close to that.
