Totally understandable. If I was in the market for another truck this would be a dream for me. Don't be afraid to sit around and figure out the right price on this and what you want to include with the sale.

If you do sell, I just ask, for the sanity of all of us don't sell it to someone that is going to mangle that beautiful truck!

Good looking truck. If you can keep it, then keep it. The odds of you regretting selling it are very high...

I’d ask $22,400 for it. Sold as is. Take it or leave it.

Earlier in the year would have been the best time to sell. Right now looks like lots of people are losing their jobs, the ‘stemellus’ is meager, and costs of goods doubled. Looks like gas $ might spike a little, too. Our trucks are sensitive to gas mileage ekker outers.

I’ve reconsidered: $11k as is to unload it as quickly as possible. Lots of stuff is on sale right now.

If you don't NEED to sell it. Then ask what you want and wait for the right buyer to pay it. You should have no problem getting $15k or more for that truck with that mileage. They are becoming unicorns.

Autotrader lists 13 Double cab 4x4 Tundras with under 150k miles for sale with an average list price of around $13-14k in the whole country. Yours looks to be in high end condition. Your in a high end area. $15k or more is very reasonable.

Someone here should upgrade their ride. Make a road trip out of it. Have a few beers and get a new truck out of it. Hell you could camp on way home with the tent it comes with.

I agree 100%. . . before this virus crap hit, I had been shopping '05-'06 Tundra DC's here in So Cal . . . 'asking' prices for a pretty clean one with 100-120K miles was around $13.5K and they were selling pretty fast . . . now I'm seeing similar Tundras with asking prices of $16+K. That's a pretty good price jump . . . they are not selling as fast, but I'm seeing at least 50% fewer on the market as well. I think the virus and the new administration has 'some' people reconsidering new truck purchases. Toyota trucks in general are REALLY popular here in So Cal . . . not sure how they compare in the Pacific Northwest where it's more rural. I think the 'Big 3' often tend to be more popular in rural areas and that potentially could drive down the resale value of a Gen 1 Tundra . . . but I'm just speculating.

Have you done the timing yet? 119k it either should have been done or will need to be done soon.

I agree, has the timing belt/water pump been serviced ? I know some people go over 200k without doing timing belts on the first gens but who wants to risk that

Take the RTT and rack off and ask $17,500. You will get $17,000 in Seattle.

If it was a limited and the timing, water pump was done at 90-110k and everything else checked out, no oil leaks, interiors clean, paints shiny, no rust, with the rack and the tent. You might find that one person who wants a SR5 DC 4wd in black built like that and they might pay close to some of the prices mentioned above. You’d be waiting until the one person who has the money at the time to buy it comes along.
It’s harder to get cheap financing on anything over 10yrs old. You’re looking for someone that has the expendable cash in a depressed market.
KBB and NADA have them valued by taking algorithms from asking prices from the zip code you enter and making a market range for that area. FB market place, carguru and auto trader do the same thing.
A legit Toyota dealer will sell them within the KBB range. That’s what they go off of. That’s what they are selling for. I just saw a really nice limited DC 4wd with 120k up in the Seattle/Tacoma area for $13k asking it was at Marysville Toyota it was phantom gray and had a leer cap on it. Leather, heated seats, nav, sun roof etc. 2 owner, timing done. It sold in a few days of listing. They take them on trade and are paying $7-9k for them. Or finding them at actions for about the same price.
I’ve seen a few small dealers over the last year trying to jack the market up for their own gains. I’ve seen ones listed for $19-22k most have less than 100k miles they are usually limited DC 4wd and the timing has been done with new tires and suspension upgrades. It’s a nitch market they are trying to drive in the direction of profit. I have yet to see a private party truck sell for over $15k they will just sit for months or until the price comes down. The actual selling market is $8-14k on these right now. Depending on the miles, model, trim and condition. It’s been going up the last couple years but people aren’t going to want to pay much more for a 15-17 yr old truck with over 120k miles. You can get a 2007-2010 DC or crewmax 5.7l 4wd with the same miles or less for $17-22k you’re in a nitch market of Toyota Tundra 1st gen fan boys at those prices. You’ve taken yourself out of the person who needs a truck for a truck market.

Asking price is much different than sell price.
This one has 156k miles on it. You could go offer them $10k and I bet you could get them to sell it to you for $12,500 after some back and forth nagotiation. No Rack, no RTT little more miles but I’m sure the timing has been done. 3 owner limited DC 4wd. That’s at a dealer so financing will be easier for those who don’t have $10-15k in cash laying around.

So yours is definitely worth $15k or more! 1 year newer, 30k less miles. Sounds reasonable. Plus, if you don't need to sell, you can wait and take whatever you want. The buyers are out there.

You've got a solid rig. Do you really not want a bed or do you want something quite a bit smaller, like a 4Runner? If it's just the bed, keep the Tundra. I understand wanting smaller, though. I've really pondered the same. A smaller rig can get you in surprisingly more places given the tight, more cramped style of trails in the PNW.

I've looked around a bit, keeping my eye on prices. I bought 2 this year at the rock bottom slumps in the industry and got great deals in early/mid 2020. Now prices for trucks are very high.

If it were me, I'd just keep it. A solid truck like this is rare and valuable. But if I were to sell it, assuming the OPs rig is well maintained with documentation and current on all big ticket items, and NO RUST, I think $15k is reasonable. I'd list it at $20k. I wouldn't take anything less than $13k if it were mine. Cash. And frankly, I bet the OP can hold out for a bit and get $18k cash.

Beautiful truck OP! I would say list around 18k and see what happens. You should have no problem getting close to that for it with the right buyer especially in the PNW.

Nice truck. Value on 4x4 V8 Toyota's has been rising over the last year or so, you should do very well selling now. I drove a 05 V8 4runner recently and the interior felt a bit cramped in comparison to the tundra but it was more nimble and felt more powerful. The Sequoia is a carbon copy of tundra and you can forget that you are not driving the Tundra. I have toyed with the same idea but I just cannot part with my truck, I have a few scrapes on my knuckles from all the work I have done.
