I have a 2018 Tundra, with less then 11,000 miles on it. Yes I bought it new but I had another car to drive too, so I saved my truck miles. I had my oil changed at a toyota repair shop and after the truck was finished a message came up that my truck needed to refuel. I had 3/4 of a tank of gas. I disconnected the battery for a half hour to reset the computer. refuel.jpg Has anyone else had this message? I recently filled up my truck and the range now came back at 500 miles after driving 100 miles. (WOW, almost 16 miles per gallon).
Thanks for any help that anyone can give.

It will typically do that after the battery has been disconnected, I know mine does. It usually resets itself after driving a while though

When you disconnect the battery, the dash information mpg resets to zero, and it will take a little driving, maybe a few fill-ups, for the mpg to get back to "approximately correct". Nothing to worry about here, just don't depend on the indicated mpg for anything except an approximation.

I've had the Refuel message pop up but that was due to me waiting to fill up. My range display went down to 4 but instead of going to 3 it said Refuel. I'd listen to the above posters since you had fuel in your tank

Drive it for a few miles, it will go out. It came on because the battery was disconnected and the computer needs to relearn everything.

My old truck’s instrument panel was really scratched. This time I swore it wouldn’t happen. I used compressed air and a soft cloth and was as careful as I could be every time I cleaned it, but it still got scratched up.

I know, they use the cheapest clear plastic they can find. I was just messing with the OP. I use a damp microfiber cloth, so far so good.

Thanks for all the help. It finally went away. I get to explain it to the repairman.

No I don't think that I ever cleaned it off. I live in Arizona, so it is just dust. Not a big deal.
