Grew up in south Texas and then spent the last 18 years in San Diego, so to me, this was a lot of snow.
Then I see some of the other pics in here and I'm like, oh, nevermind.

Did your wipers survive that? Some of our areas got 4 feet with the last storm, it was crazy!

This was from last week when we got up to four feet in some towns, I had to work, and Blueberry faithfully got me there safely! I was super pleased with the drive, no slipping (on stock Michelins)!! There were Mack trucks and cars stuck all over the place, mostly on the on/off ramps. The picture is halfway through the storm, snowed for another 5 hours or so after that.

Looking at this thread makes me very thankful that my truck fits in the garage, especially since I am too short to reach the higher spots!!!

At thus level of snow... does salt/brine on the road even help?

They don't bother with brine around here for snow, they only do that for freezing rain

I wish that's how in the hell they did it in Ohio so that crap wouldn't eat our vehicles all up.

I have a buddy that does undercoating, he is a very busy guy. He did my truck and told me to stay away from the undercarriage wash at the car wash. Its mostly just filtered saltwater, so its like putting brine all over the bottom of the truck

That's nice to know luckily I don't go to the car wash since I have a heated garage. Correction I go to the manualcar wash if I have mud so I can leave it there instead of at my house. Lol

We were up in Yellowstone and the stock tires did not like the ice at all. The chains did help some but next time I’ll definitely need better tires.

Ice can be very tricky, studded snow tires is the way to go. Worth every penny if you get a lot of icy conditions. My wife's Subaru with studded snow tires made me a believer

Went snow shoeing in the South Hills with the GF. New Destination XT's are awesome on the slick stuff but not so hot in the deep snow. Did alright though and had a great time.
