A lot of good info on this site, but I'm looking for a little advice. Ideally I was looking to buy a set of 18" black alloys from a Tundra Pro...but it's looking like I'm not gonna find any anytime soon. So I'm on the search for new 18" wheels. I've looked at the wheel/tire thread with the stock setup but I'm unsure of exactly what will work for me...I plan to put a 1.5" leveling kit.
I already bought BFG KO2's 275/65/18 (because I got a great deal on them). Do I need 18x8 or 18x9 wheel? Or will either work? Does the hub need to be 110 or will 110.1 work? And about the offset...how close do I need to stay to the +60? I don't want to cut anything and I do not want the tires to stick out too far. I really appreciate any advice I can get here...picking up the truck in a couple days and would love to order my wheels! Thanks! Adam

Either 18x8 or 18x9 will work fine, 9" is the maximum recommended width for that tire. With your tire size (it's a stock size) you've got some of wiggle room in terms of wheel offset. I would think (don't quote me) anything from +60 to + 25 would work without rubbing issues.

 What Warren said ... and I can confirm with 275/65/18's I was able to use 1.25" spacers making my OEM wheels about a +28 and I had no rubbing issues at all.

Thank you for the info! I didn't realize there was gonna be so many options when looking for aftermarket wheels. So many have very little offset...and i don't wanna get into issues.

Thank you! Exact wheels im looking for. I'm hoping to find them without the tires, since I already bought some...but I asked the vendor about them just to see.

Was this with 9" wheels? Truck at stock height, or leveled or lifted? The wheels I absolutely love are Black Rhino Warlords. They're 18x9 with a 12mm offset so, by my calculations that will push my outer position farther out by 60.7mm or 2.33". This seems like alot to me...I don't want to be throwing dirt and debris all over the side of my new truck because my tires are sticking out so far. I like the look of the aggressive stance though... any thoughts??

Haha...I get your point... but first of all, I am literally picking my ride up first thing in the morning, so I'll post pics then. Second, the truck is stock right now...so the info I'm looking for shouldn't really be affected by a pic of the stock truck. I'm just excited to get a nice set of wheels for my KO2's and get them on!

    Welcome from NoCo...

Bought these from forum vendor SCS...love them and the service was excellent. 18 x 9 +25 offset. I'm running BFG KO2's in 285/65-18.

That looks sweet! Love the wheels! So, the +12 offset wheels I'm looking at will put me out another half inch.... yours don't seem too bad at all. Any problems with them protruding beyond the fenders?

Just went out and snapped these hoping they'd help...it's hard to get the exact angle. I ended up going on faith after endless reading on here and not wanting a 20" tire. For me, SCS's wheel were exactly what I was hoping for. The very outside of the wheel and tire sticks out maybe an inch. But, it's not the knobby part of the tire - that stops pretty much dead even with the fender, it's the bit of sidewall part that sticks out. I look every day to see if rocks are dinging anything on the side, as I do plenty of dirt areas, and can honestly say I have zero dings. I do hear the rocks being ejected, but that's happening within the wheel wells themselves. Hope this helps...

Man, I really appreciate that! That's the EXACT kind of help I needed, to try to visualize it on my truck. I'd be happy the way you have it set up... Just not sure how much of a difference another half inch will make...

Thanks and yes, it will get expensive ... since I took those pics I have since leveled out my Tundra, changed over to retrofits and bought new wheels and tires.

If I remember correctly the OEM wheels were 18x8". The +12 offset will look great (don't think they'll stick out quite 2.33" more) but you can expect to have dirt flung into the sides of your Tundra. Here's my current set up (before installing my retros) with 20x9" +20 with 295/60's and I get some minor dirt and debris on the sides.

Man that thing's a beast! Looks great! So, by the calculator that I'm using, the setup I'm looking at will push me out 8mm further than yours... It's looking like a possibility...
Your front end brought up 3" and the back 1"?

Not claiming to be an expert so take what I have to say for what it's worth ... just to recap your thoughts though, you're thinking about running 18x9 inch wheels with an offset of +12, but with 275/65 tires. If that's the case, I see what your thinking since the offset you want to use is +8mm further out, but keep in mind I'm also running 20mm wider tires so if by that I'm guessing you can say 10mm wider on each side making me slightly stick out further by 2mm than your desired set up. If that's correct, I think you'll clear the cab mount and might only rub on the mud flaps. However since your tire combo is equal to just over 32" in diameter you might even clear those as well and get to keep the flaps to prevent the over spray of dirt and debris.

    Oh, and yes ... I'm leveled 3 and 1

Yes...you're following exactly what I'm thinking. I know it's simple math when you put it that way but I was using an online comparison calculator and it didn't show that the outcome would change whether I input 255, 275, or even 305 width tire (even though it asks for that data)... seemed to make sense that a wider tire, even on the same wheel, is gonna stick out farther...

Check out my build thread if you want to see how +12 wheels look on our trucks. They definitely fling dirt down the side of the truck.

Thanks for that... You've done an amazing job...that truck is a beauty! Love all the mods! So are you happy now with the Bushwacker Fender Flares?...keep the side a little cleaner? On another note, how did you dip the chrome badge black? I like that look!

Don't forget the tire width determines how far they protrude. Here's 295/70 on 18x9 +25.

Thanks.... I took off the flares because I wanted the poke look. It helped but didn't completely protect the side of the truck from flung debris since you have to remove mud flaps. As for the badge, I just plastidipped it. Nothing new.

Took them off? I kinda liked it with them on...lol. Looks great either way. I do love the aggressive look of them poking out a bit. I was thinking I wouldn't have to remove the mudflap since my tires are a stock size but I guess I'll see. I'll have to look into the plastidip... matches the truck...
