Shipping issues from Fedex / AutoAnything!...now missing hardware! ...GoRhino RB20 running boards

Anyone else having issues with Fedex / AutoAnything?

I ordered a set of GoRhino RB20 running boards the Saturday after Thanksgiving 11/28!
The tracking info had delivery for 12/4.......and it finally showed up last night!

However, upon opening the boxes I discovered no hardware was included .

Off to Lowes / Home Depot smh!!

 

I would reach out to Autoanything first and let them take care of it. They have fantastic customer support and will make it right.

And FedEx is absolutely terrible, I've have many issues with them in the past.

 

Maybe they could send you another pack of hardware? I've had that happen before from other vendors and they would just send me some more.

 

Same problems here. Been waiting 2 weeks to hear back from Auto Anything.

I will never recommend or buy anything from them ever again!

 

Two orders, two screw ups from Auto Anything. Did make it right but still a pain..... Looked like open box return items, both orders.

 

Must be too busy trying to deliver Covid vaccines

 

Just FYI... when I purchased directly from the Go Rhino site, I received 2 different boxes. One with the running boards (Long rectangular box) and a square one with the fasteners and brackets. Did your second box contain only brackets and no bolts...? If so, that stinks. Your truck should have 7 of the 8 bolts needed for each side already installed and you may be able to reuse those and just pick up 2 more (I didn't check if they were too short though... may be an issue once bracket is installed).

Or, if you only received a single box with boards, maybe see if there was a second tracking # from AutoAnything that shows any info...?

Edit: Oops, you'll need 4x for each RB to bracket as well as the 2 for the bracket to chassis... but I am guessing you figured that part out...

 

Very frustrating. I bought Go Rhino RB20's from RunningBoard Warehouse. Two boxes shipped and the hardware (brackets and bolts) showed up after a week. The boards were picked up at Go Rhino and immediately lost by FedEx. Trace performed with no luck. Second set of boards shipped and did show up. Instructions for a Dodge were included with the Boards, but after measuring and trialing, they fit fine. I'm happy with the result, but the process was 3rd world quality.

I contacted GoRhino directly this morning and they've mailed the hardware utilizing overnight shipping.
They offered to use UPS since Fedex obviously seems to be having nationwide shipping delays.

With GoRhino's 25% off FirstHero discount code, I was considering returning these from AutoAnything - but I figured it'd be such a hassle

 

Since, I couldn’t install last night, I ended up spraying the all the brackets and underside of the steps with anti-corrosion. Not sure it’s needed but i did it anyways.

UPS delivered the hardware around 2pm this afternoon and it was go time!
I installed the boards “backwards” with the wide end at the rear.

I'm digging the look!
Now it’s much easier for the kids and wife to enter/exit the truck!

 

Since this whole covid thing, fedex has been the worst. Wrong shipping dates and even wrong packages.

 

Are you sure you have those RB20's installed correctly? The RB logo should be toward the rear of the truck and side profile shot does look like the wrong taper.

 

They are intentionally installed “backwards.” I like the wide-end for the rear doors (larger footprint for my kids to step on when climbing into the cab).

For my tastes, I also think it looks better.

There’s quite a few members here who have fitted their RB20s in this way - which is where I drew the inspiration from

 

Must be something about running boards and Fedex. When I ordered mine several months ago the problem wasn't the delivery time or missing items, it was the fact that they just dropped them in the front of a random house 3 blocks away. Luckily my number was on the label and the homeowner called me to let me know I had a huge box laying in his yard. WTF? It wasn't even a similar street name or number, I think the driver just wanted to be done with his route and said screw it.

 

Maybe, fedex used extra bolts,-hardware to fix said delivery truck?? Adapt and overcome Fedex driver!!!

 

Placed my order RB20s on the 17th directly from GoRhino and received them on the 24th. Two separate boxes delivered with FedEx. Thankfully no issues.
