One spring has a blue dot it is longer than the spring with the yellow dot.
I presume blue/longer spring would be for the driver to make up for the weight.

Correct. Blue dot/longer spring driver side.

So are the blue and yellow dots located to be visible after the truck is built and sold?

Here's what mine looked like when I changed the shocks on my RCSB. It's been too long for me to remember their original orientation though.

When you install the end of the coil on the bottom of the spring faces rearward towards the back of the truck on both sides.

Maybe it's just my old eyes, but I don't see a obvious ( blue dot, yellow dot ) difference between the two. Of the three colored marks on each spring, I do see one light blue mark on one spring and one orange on the other.

Were those marks visible while installed in your truck? I tried looking quickly at the drivers side spring and couldn't see any markings. I did rotate my tires a couple months back but don't recall seeing any colored marks on the springs.

I made sure to mention that these were from a Regular Cab under the assumption that they might have a different spring rate from the bigger/heavier trucks and thusly different colored markings to indicate such. I just wanted to try to give others an idea what they're looking for.

Unfortunately I don't recall their original orientation when installed. It's been a while and most of the time I don't know if I'm on foot or horseback.

Thanks @Wynnded. I just rolled around under my truck and wasn't able to see any markings, next time I rotate my tires I'll have a better look.

The dots are visible on the outer side. Different springs for weight and TRD or not will have different markings. I’ve only seen blue and yellow on the TRD yellow bilsteins. Here is a pic with both coilovers facing out away from truck.

Thanks for the picture, I have the same TRD Bilstein's on my truck. Probably don't see the marks now because hidden behind the tires.

Thought I would add the dots on the 2020 Platinum 4x4 CM shocks I picked up. Blue dot for the Driver also applies? Using the parts for the Falcons I plan to put on.

    Thanks.

    Should apply.
I don’t recall if the factory top hats have a direction indicator or not.
    Most of the aftermarkets do.

I am going with the Falcons as well. I ordered mine on Black Friday and talked with them yesterday and they are estimating still 6-8 weeks before I will see them.

    Welp - saga continues.

Car is at Toyota Dealership where we purchased it. When car was dropped off the tpms light was on.

When tech got the car the light was off, so he looked in history and saw the code C2144 present. Said he "thinks" it's the sensor in tire but not real sure. We were asked, we can put in a new tpms sensor "if you want us to" or drive it till the sensor goes out, then replace it.

We went to dealership since they couldn't see the light flashing therefore couldn't duplicate the problem, to pickup the car.

And wouldnt you know, the light is steady blinking for bout a minute or two then goes solid orange. And all this is happening as the service writers are leaving.

It will and it's ok. Just glad that it's just the tpms and not an engine or trans.

Pull your techstream out next time the light is on and check sensor 3. Air down and see if it response.

I tried doing that the other night before (weekend) and my laptop crashed. I work in IT and its currently getting Windows reloaded.
I will have to wait and see what the service dept says.

I hate to call and ask them if they've done this. You know, telling mech how to do his job thang...

Good thing it isnt something really critical to the car. But dont tell the wife that. lol

Im reading way to many articles on the innerwebs on this stuff.

Question - can the TPMS module get locked in reset mode somehow - And this could be the problem ?

I've never seen it happen and if it did it should reset on the next key cycle.

    ID1 - 33.67
    ID2 - 31.67
    ID3 - 32.67
    ID4 is reporting "35.91 lbs"

and get this if it means anything
    ID1 - Reset
    ID2 - Reset
    ID3 - Reset
ID4 Batt Voltage is "No Reset"

And - does this sound correct for module locked in reset mode?

" If there is a problem with one or more of the sensors communicating with the TPMS module during the reset procedure, it could go into a “looping” mode where it locks out the use of the SET button, and the TPMS light will flash. The system is now stuck in this looping mode, and no matter how many times you press the SET button or cycle the ignition, the light will continue to flash.

The only way to stop the looping – the system looking for sensor IDs that may not be in the memory – is to perform a procedure that puts the system into a learn mode "

Those values are the last set of numbers, from techstream, that I got screen shots of last week.

The long comment was from a tire review site I found yesterday

The thing that frustrates me is, two shops have now looked at the car and cannot tell me with certainty, what the problem is.
Isnt it just the sensor and the module? I guess it could be the reset button maybe???

Now the car is setting there again and they hope to drive it AGAIN, just to see the light flash for 2 minutes then go solid, then maybe they have something to work with?

2012 Toyota Sequoia 5.7 209,292K ODO. City driving on 33's 10-11 mpg. Whenever it's below freezing it's having a hard time to start. No CEL, but my T-Mobile sync drive notifies me that I have a P0175 (running too rich) and sometimes P0300 (multiple misfire) P0308 (misfire cylinder 8 detected) if it had some issues trying to startup.

Other than O2 sensor and plugs, what else do I need to troubleshoot/replace?

    TIA

I wouldn't change the O2 sensors yet. Is the air filter dirty? Clean your mass air flow sensor. Generally O2 sensors don't come into play until the vehicle goes into closed loop.

If you can read the data stream I would check the coolant sensor and see what temperature it's reporting when it's below freezing.

I just replace the Air filter even though it was clean. I will clean the AF sensor tomorrow. I will also get the coolant temperature when it's below freezing. What temp should it be?

    Thanks!
