I just found an article that said multiplayer might arrive in 2022...

Nope, you didn't. I hadn't read or looked into it much until today, and one of the videos mentioned that it will not be multiplayer. I had just assumed it would be based on my buddy want us to play it together. He was surprised as well.

If Cyberpunk is anything like The Witcher series, then it'll be a fantastic game

Got my Cyberpunk this morning from Amazon. I only got to play it for about 40 minutes but it seems pretty cool. I immediately went in and turned off the "Nudity" setting. Wasn't interested in picking wieners for my character. Also, in case you are playing in a house with young ones, there's a glitch where your characters genitals are showing through their pants so...
But, besides that, it was a good 40 minutes. Can't wait to play some more of it tonight.

Loved Witcher 3. Lost interest in Cyberpunk once I found out it was a first person game.

You aren't missing too much, unfortunately. I'm trying hard to like it but it's crashed on me about 6 times on my Xbox One, about once per hour of playing it. It's hard to enjoy a game when you are constantly saving your progress so you don't lose it if the game freezes up. Probably be worth buying in 6 months when they, hopefully, iron out all of the bugs.

Wasn't it already delayed? What were they doing if not fixing bugs?

There's A LOT going on with the graphics and everything else in this game. Each vehicle drives/feels different and the details (when they render correctly) are amazing. I think they may have needed even more time to work out the bugs. I was expecting it to be a bit more polished though.

Good call - I had no idea how pervy it was when I pre-ordered it or I wouldn’t have bought it. Like I mentioned earlier, I turned off the nudity and I just try to ignore the rest. It definitely earned it’s Mature rating.

Apparently the developer is offering full refunds. That in itself makes me want to keep it and give them some time to iron everything out.

I'm pretty close to returning it at this point. It crashes about once an hour. Weird glitches and the story is really hard to follow. My cell phone in the game is constantly ringing - I hate that in real life. Don't care for it in a video game. I'm really trying hard to like it but thinking I might return it, get the new Assassin's Creed and maybe rebuy Cyberpunk if they ever get it fixed.

What else is out there for PS4 FPS games similar to Battlefield? I love 4 and V, but I'd like to try something new. I hate C.O.D, too much of a spray and pray game with no strategy or realism. I've been eyeballing Rainbow Six Siege.

I stopped playing FPS’ years ago. Just too repetitive. I’m probably the odd ball here, but I really don’t like playing against strangers online.

Lately I really only play big open world games that I can experience on my own pace. I’ve been playing Snowrunner lately. It is slow and frustrating at points, but it’s my escape...

I’m with you - I much prefer an RPG. I just haven’t found a good one lately. I absolutely loved Skyrim back in the day and I bought the “remastered” version but it just seems clunky to me now. I’ll have to look into Snowrunner - I also thought about getting Maneater.

I can't get into RPG games. They take too long and move too slowly for me. Alot of the ones I've played have also been 3rd person view, which I can't stand. The Woman likes RPGs and plays Diablo often. I did think Borderlands was ok, but I lost interest after a few hours of running around and spending 30min+ trying to figure out where to go or how to achieve something just pissed me off. I would usually let The Woman do the running around while I watched youtube and then she'd hand me the controller when it came time to shoot some bad guys.

I generally game for only a few hours a week, so I need something to get into and out of quickly. A fast round of deathmatch to spend a half hour or so, or if I'm killing a lazy Sunday I'll play a few rounds of conquest. BFV has huge maps and an immersive conquest experience. BF4 has the modern war machines so being able to hop into a tank when I get bored of running and gunning, then into a jet when I get bored of the tank is great. The maps are the same, but they're so big and the gameplay is different every time as each group of players have a different idea of how to achieve the objectives that it makes it continually interesting.

Not much time for gaming these days. I generally just jump into the original Unreal Tournament if I need a few minutes of relaxation while my daughter is down for a nap.

Last time I played video games was Mortal Kombat on a Sega Genesis back in 1996.

Before then online gaming was done via a BBS with a 14.4kbps dial up modem.

I have a buddy that was hurt, so he's been online more. We've been playing Destiny 2, and having a pretty good time. The game mechanics and visuals are solid, but the heavy bias toward PVP is definitely irritating. Still, it's a good way to hang out with an injured buddy who it 300 miles away.

    It is cool that way...

My college roommate was computer smart, so we would run a coax between our rooms and play Quake all night. Wow, I just dated myself there. Was a ton of fun.

Then later in life we figured out how to set up LAN games at home. Some wife would go stay with family and we’d all show up with 20” TVs and consoles and game all night. Crazy ironic that now everybody has a fat pipe and games designed from the ground up for online play we have all gone separate ways.
