And left with BFGnew tires… Decided on the 275/70 R18 as not to conflict with speedometer, no cutting of hardware and less impact on towing. I figured with the new suspension of the Pro, I did not want to alter it at all. I had 285/65/R18’s on my old 2010 Tundra and wanted a hint taller. These are a hint narrower which we will see how that goes. I wanted a little wider, but could not find it. Additionally, these were $44 cheaper each, so…

I live in AZ, so sharp rocks more than mud is an issue here. My last Tundra had the BFG TKO’s, as did prior 4 Runners and where my brother had 3 blowouts off road on his Cooper MT’s, I have never had an issue with the BFG’s.

So, hopefully I don’t regret going to 33's rather than 34 or 35’s. Just trying to compromise between the stock tires and awesome… Pics are below with some before/afterIMG_0860.jpgIMG_9484.jpg IMG_0912.jpg IMG_0911.jpg IMG_9467.jpg IMG_9473.jpg IMG_9482.jpg IMG_9453.jpg

Also while at Discount Tire, I took the opportunity to get some pics of the TRD Pro suspension. These pics don't do the shocks justice... Initially when I brought the truck in, the Manager never saw a Pro, but said he was familiar with the TRD suspension. He said I would have not problem with 33's with the "leveling kit". He later called me back when the wheels were off and said he was shocked (hah), at just how beefy they were and what Toyota did with the suspension. He thought Toyota put on a leveling kit, was was sincerely amazed; or a very good actor.

Anyway, here are some pics...IMG_0914.jpgIMG_0915.jpg IMG_0916.jpg

Looks very nice! What load rating are they? My Taco Pro came with D rated which are a bit on the stiff side. Really like the new look of the AT's was hoping that is what would end up on my Pro but they were still shipping them with the ol style AT KO's.

Also interesting that they run the rear remote's with the shock body down...usually see them body up to reduce unsprung weight.

They are a load rating of E @3640. Unknown on the ride just yet, but I imagine it isn’t that much different than my 2010 with the TKO’s. We’ll see on the tires, they do seem quieter than the TKO’s. I guess they are supposed to be a hint better in the mud and wear. Either way, I was very happy with my old TKO’; they take a beating and a good all around tire. At least for you, the Tacoma came with nice BFG's, and the 4Runner gets nice tires as well. Unsure why they put the Michelins on the Tundra and imagine most people will replace them promptly...

Hah, yeah. I am waiting until I hit the 500 mile mark on the engine before I push it. I'm also chomping on the bit to get the boat on the back of this thing, so its killing me to wait...

My Taco came with D's and were set at the factory to 46psi...made them ride like a brick! Searched all over for a load chart to see what I could safely air them down to and found a good one from Toyo Tires. They don't list any ratings for under 35psi (maybe due to heat issues in the LT tires below this but I'm not sure). Aired mine down to 35psi and it made a huge difference. The PDF below lists most P and LT light truck sizes for up to 20" rims with load capacities for various psi settings down to and including 35psi.

Very nice upgrade. White Pro looks great. Keep us updated on how you like your new BFG's? (I know Pro suspension is awesome)

Very nice. I am looking to swap out the stock tires as well on my Pro. Just not sure on size. 275/70/18 or 295/70/18. I don't want to alter the trd suspension at all either. Did Discount Tire buy your stock Michelin tires ?

I went with 295/70R18 with no rubbing issues after I removed the small front mud flaps. Discount only offered me $50 per tire so I kept them and sold them on craigslist for $400 for the set, it took me 3 weeks.

So they looked at it and confirmed it would not rub under compression? These have more travel than the normal Tundra as well, so it is a great concern for me. I need to be sure that it will be fine off road. Also, the BFG's on my old Tundra was wider as well and that might be an issue for me with the current size. Discount said if I did not like this, they would swap them out, so I will sit on it today and decide. Do your tires stick out from the fender flares?

I too am selling on craigslist. I have done this before and got more interest than expected...

Yes I am, perfect fit and I didn't waste any $$$ wishing I had a different size.

Tires stays inside the wheel wells, here's some pics. As for craigslist............I made over 500+ transactions thus far and it only takes one reply for the sale, the tires took a little longer than usual.

Looks like I will go with the Toyo OC MT in 295/70/R18 makes the new trd pro look a lot better then it already does.
