One of the nurses I spoke to mentioned the possibility of this. Seems unlikely that all of these were undiagnosed preexisting conditions though and the fact that 2 different nurses have told me similar things leads me to believe Covid is causing some nasty side effects. Even less severe side effects include folks that haven't regained their sense of taste..

But to your point, yes it's possible some of these are people who just didn't know they had an issue before.

Here is what my friend stated "We are seeing more and more patients in the 20-35 year old range and many returning within a couple of weeks to a month with much more serious problems that have evolved directly related to COVID. We know so little. this is truly "Novel". I've personally cared for a couple of patients with pulmonary emboli and no known risk history for such. Also other peculiar heart conditions..perhaps previously undiagnosed. I just don't know."

Nope, she just had asthma before and really mild. Cardiac and respitory problems have been reported side effects from covid. Loss of lung capacity is the one I was afraid of but heart problems is scarier to me.

Ah, could be, BMW did the same; the previous airbag recalls for my Tundra were prior to my ownership.

Was running some errands early this morning and on the other side of the highway I spotted a smokin’ Outback.

    “That sucks.”

Then I spotted the limping deer in the ditch.

    “That really sucks.”

Last night I went out side to jump start a car. Met with the fella in the break room, and we walked out to his car. Man, I've never seen a car on the road this fucked up.

One of the last Saturn Ions produced. He borrowed it from a friend.

I asked him what happened. He told me he was taking a left hand curve, and there was a deer in the road. He hit the deer, and he jerked the wheel after hitting it. Rolled the car about 6 times.

No rear glass, no drivers side window, trunk is jammed shut, roof caved in at the center, windshield was cracked, no drivers side headlight, or tail light.

He said "Man, when I hit that deer air musta got under my tires or something because nothing I did made any difference. Car kept going where it wanted to."

I asked him how fast he was going. He said "about 60."

I told him that he was lucky to get out of that without serious injury.

I asked him how long he'd been driving it like this. He said it was about a week ago.

I feel sorry for the poor guy because it's all he has, and all he can afford.

Good grief! He’s incredibly lucky! I can’t believe he’s driving that. Oof. Makes me wonder if he has insurance.

I was driving on a 3 lane & fate arranged it so I happened to be between 2 tractor trailers as I came upon the back 1/2 of a deer. Had no choice but to run it over. As it went under the car & rolled over, I could hear the hooves kicking the car, the back end of the car lifted off the road, but front wheel drive - I kept her rolling straight. Only damage to the car was deer fur all over under. Front 1/2 of the deer was on the side of the road & the T/T that split it open a little further up. Deer are some solid lump of beef & will toss a car easily.

For $30 not like it'll break the bank. Although Napa brand synthetic 5qt is on sale for $23 with a platinum filter this month.

I'm scared to use anything but toyota filters. Are their filters okay?

I buy them for my wifes Durango and haven't had a problem with them but I use the Toyota filters for the Tundra.

The Napa filters are made by Wix so they're not crap anyway.

Wal-Mart seems to consistently have Mobile 1 synthetic on sale for $23-25 for 5 quarts.

Napa right now is $15.50, the $23 is including a filter.

You're not alone. Not that I would ever sell my truck, but it is the least desirable things for resale... and high mileage too.

Thats me right now. Had a $4k truck 3 years ago and dumped $8k over that time. Butt, and its a big butt, I’m saving $$$ on Island Taxes, Turd Gen Payments and Insurance/Depreciation. Your boy Ramsey would appreciate that.

I'm over 8k as well. I don't look at my truck, or any other vehicle I own, as an investment to break even on someday. To me they are all paid off, they are all cheaper than getting on that cycle of never ending payments, and they are all becoming what I want them to be. No plans to sell any, except the GTI in a few years and I already lost my ass on that.

Ha! I've got you all whooped on truck investment.
I bought it for close to market value and have put less than 1000 into it.

I reckon I could sell it for what I've got in it were I so inclined.

***This will all change in the next 12 months when I start putting money into the chassis, wheels, & tires.
****Someone buy my truck and save me the pain of explaining to my wife how another one got away from me financially. :D
