Just got mine installed today. This thing looks like it should have been OEM. Not as easy as the install video makes it look, particularly when it comes to attaching the split harness to the back of the headlight. I had to take the grill, and front body piece off to get to the headlight. Otherwise, everything else was a breeze. This thing is way too bright for driving around town. Lol

As for the 2020 model update, we've been quoted directly from NSV that we're about 1-2 months out from a release. Sorry for the wait fellas, I promise it's on the way! I'll be sure to keep tabs on this for you all, we've been staying in close contact with NSV about this update.

Is there a link to see the changes in the new model?

 

To our knowledge, there has been no photos or links released regarding the change, but the light bar itself will remain the same, as well as wiring. The only difference will be the fitment of the interior control panel to fit the 2020, nothing major!

Will the new version have an updated switch panel with more switch spaces? I have a 2021 Tundra 1794, and would need to relocate the USB, traction control, parking assist and security indicator. It'd also be nice to retain the 12V outlet for versatility. Any elegant OEM looking solutions to this?

 

Any update on 2020? Asking for a friend that needs to update Santa on his list

 

The updated panel will accommodate for all of your OEM switches, no worries my man!

 

I have not heard any real updates on this new panel I am afraid, although I know that NSV is working on releasing this shortly. I wish I had a better time frame for you but we are all in the same boat on this waiting game I am afraid. Sorry for the lame update, this group will be the first I Will update once I find out some hard facts!

@Headlight Revolution any idea if they plan to make a basic light-bar only version? I love the OEM look and fitment but don't need another switch panel (have a SwitchPro already) nor do I need the blingy car show Knight Rider feature or the DRL ... just need a light

 

This right here, just the light hooked up to an oem switch style button, on and off is all I need

 

Anyone know if a BD S8 will fit in this spot?

 

I wonder how hard it would be to fab together a few 8 or 10” pods/bars and just wire them together? I don’t know that the spacing is between the hood bulge braces but I can’t imagine it would be too weird of a span...

 

It’ll fit but you have to cut out some bracing in the hood and that leads to some potential structural issues.

Edit: I was thinking of the 30/40” bars btw

I know RC lighting is occasionally hit or miss, but they have a light bar to go in this location. It has you modify the hood bulge but you do not have to cut the metal bracing pieces in the hood that some other lights require. Its $80 so might be worth the gamble?

I’d be up for that - esp at that price, but doesn’t say how many lumens and from the pictures, the bar is dimmer than the amber DRLs. Lol. That’s prob why it doesn’t give the lumens.
