Is it just me or is anyone else experience significant issues with the USPS? I know their reputation is not always good, but as of late their service is beyond a joke. I've had several packages in no mans land. One in particular I paid significantly extra for next day delivery. After it not showing up the next day, I looked at the tracking and saw that it was picked up from the shipping business. After 3 days, still nothing and I filled out a "Where's my package" request. The issue was assigned to a tracker, but received an email that they were too busy to track the package. After 4 days, the status suddenly changed and arrived at at distribution center that was physically 4 miles from the shipper's address. Four days to travel 4 miles.... A week later, the status shows it in my region but still no delivery. Over a week for a "next day" delivery and still squat. No offence to those who work for the USPS, but the service is a joke.

priority express mail guaranteed but no one wants to pay for it. im sure everyone had issues with ALL carriers it is what it is. some of mine get stuck at certain location for days without explanation. could pay extra for insurance/faster delivery but then cost would be passed to buyer and no one wants to pay that until shit happens.

The thing is, I did pay more for next day delivery, significantly more. Over a week and still nothing.

This is not happening with UPS. My businesses ship and receive a lot with UPS and its pretty much business as normal. Plus, all UPS next day deliveries we ship are indeed delivered the next day.

USPS, UPS, FedEx, you name it, it is a cluster f&@k right now. We have had packages at a FedEx location for 12 days now not moving. Probably stuck in a trailer sitting outside of the warehouse. Already lost three.

USPS has had multiple covid outbreaks at various hubs, plus they have less staff, and then add the holiday shipping load on top.

Use ups or fedex if you have the option until after the holidays.

I have 6 packages currently outstanding from Black Friday, all shipped two weeks ago, priority.
This was after finally receiving 2 additional packages that had been in the system for nearly a month.

I understand there are extenuating circumstances right now, but USPS and FedEx have completely dropped the ball this holiday season.

    It’s absolutely ridiculous!

I have an Aunt who is a retired letter carrier, and Uncle who is a retired Postmaster, and a cousin who is a Postmaster. My experience may be an anomaly though.

I work for USPS as a Letter Carrier. Our new presidential appointed Postmaster General has really made a mess of things.

Please don't get me wrong. I specifically mentioned "one or two" because I know a couple of REALLY good people who work for the USPS. But at least around here, they are in the TINY minority. One of the problems here is that our letter carriers are all contractors. Just today one pulled out in front of my son without looking. They can't read the numbers printed clearly on the mailboxes, and they change routes and delivery times every few weeks. From what I have read here, I am not alone in my experiences. Please don't take it personally!

We just had a wedding invitation returned 2 weeks ago, we mailed them out 5 years ago. Printer address labels, so it was not due to be unreadable.
Another time, I had mailed a wedding gift to a friend, took almost 5 months to get to him.
