FS: Battery Hold Down Bracket By Coupe

Hey I’m in. I would like to get textured black with gloss red 1794 please

 

I’d be in if the copper metallic is an option. Or probably even if not. Textured black with gloss white.

 

I have had a few people ask for a 1794 version.

These are the prices (shipping to the lower 48 states & 808 included: After April 1, 2021 shipping will be an added charge.

Price is $85 powdercoated.

Price is $65 raw aluminum (no coatings)

For powdercoated finishes, this is what I have used in the past:

1. Textured black (matches TRD blower)

2. Gloss white

3. Gloss red

4. Gloss black

5. Textured red

6. Gloss cement

I can also brush the aluminum and paint the logo red or black, then clearcoat the entire part.

I am looking for ten (10) people that want to commit to the project. If we get ten (10) I will make the part. Once we get ten (10) I will ask for a $30 deposit. When I am ready to ship I will ask for the remainder. You will pay me via paypal or a money order.

I went to the powder coater today and I can do a copper metallic. It may not be an exact match with the color in the logo, but it will be very close.

So anyone that wants copper 1794 for the text just shoot me a pm to confirm.

 

I have a public service announcement.

I have had a few people on TW, report that have had non-sealed batteries leak a little around the fill caps. If the acid leaks, it will attack the aluminum in the hold down. If you have a sealed battery, this is not a problem. While there have been a few instances of people with this problem, there are a lot of people that have conventional, non-sealed batteries that use these battery hold downs without an issue. Since there have been a few instances, I am warning people that do not have sealed batteries.

If I was considering one of these for purchase, I might co-ordinate this with a sealed battery upgrade.

In the case of the 1794 battery hold downs, I have started these, but some of you may want to back out in light of this information. I realize the 1794 model is new and you may not be ready to plunk down cash for a sealed battery. If you want to back out, just send me a pm and I will refund your money and take you off the list.

 

Coupe, when do we need to make a decision about color? I keep going back and forth

 

You have a week to decide color. Let's say by Dec 8th.

 

Does your power coater use Prismatic powders? Do they have a color code for us to reference? Might make the color decision easier for those of us who are on the fence.

 

What if I made one and posted pics. The people who are considering copper could wait until they saw it, before they committed to the color.

Oooooo...that would look really nice with Cooper Metallic lettering. Like others, I still on the fence. @Coupe will you be able to post pics of the lettering painted?

 

I am planning on going to the powder coater tomorrow.

The people who are on the fence on the copper color ( that I have on the list above) I am not taking your parts to the powder coater.

I am going to make one textured black with copper 1794. Then I will post pics of that one and you can decide it you prefer it. This will put your orders a little further back on delivery.

As an on the fencer for the copper I am looking forward to seeing this. This has definitely been one of the best auto forums I have been on especially in terms members offering of custom modifications, parts, etc. & it is really nice to see all the fine details owners put into these trucks.
