Finally.

This thing is freaking huge....simple measurements online don't do it justice. It easily towers above the PS4 (and the Switch, and my cat, etc.....LOL) Getting a hold of one was a cast-iron son of a b****.

 

Considering we all basically carry around what was considered a super computer 20 years ago, in our pockets every day.. They wouldnt need to make these game consoles so large.. Enjoy!

 

Truth. Honestly, only reason I got it was because

a) I've been saving up for a while prior to release day and
b) on a whim I bought stock in Moderna a few months ago before I knew who they were, and made a decent amount selling it.

Otherwise I'd have waited. I like it, but suffice to say I'll be in line for the PS5 Slim whenever it comes out. LOL

 

I just saw one in person for the first time last week. It’s a damned behemoth. Where’d you score yours? I’ve got one coming but it’ll be after Christmas.

 

I got lucky w/PS Direct. And yeah, thank God the thing can stand up; it'd take up half the entertainment center top lying down.

 

My son bought one a few weeks ago. He waited from 9pm to 6am at Fred Meyer. Big console for sure.

 

I tell you what tho....the release strategy has rather sucked. PS Direct was one of the only ones doing it halfway decently - by that I mean you couldn't really game their sales system with bots and the like.

I waited 2 or 3 times on Walmart's page (and Best Buy's, etc.) and routinely saw them sell out in like 30 seconds to 3 minutes flat. They ticked a LOT of people off. I'd almost they'd have just waited another month or two and build up some more stock.

 

I did see where people used multiple devices / browsers to up their odds of getting a good place in line on PS Direct. This was after they randomized the queue. One guy said he had a total of 16 screens open when he got his.

I cheated slightly. Someone posted a link to Walmart that skipped the whole process and put the item directly in your cart. I just refreshed until it went through and immediately hit checkout. Took about 10 seconds.

 

Can't get one at the moment, everywhere sold out

 

Was able to get one on launch day from Best Buy. Told me wife it was for the kids...hahahhahaha. Best part was I saved my rockband kit from previous console

 

I even tried that; didn't work for me. *pout* LOL
