I got the 1794 3 months ago because the pro was too hard to find, the closest one was 2 hrs away and super expensive.

Still doing the song and dance. Pro is out - it’s between the limited and 1794. Both are Metallic grey, the limited has the nightshade package. Hopefully we can close the deal tomorrow. Tell ya what, these car dealers are not negotiating like before.

You are at the wrong dealer then. Walk out and have them call you if they are ready to work with you. Go to a few different dealers and say “what would you offer to earn my bussiness”. Then take the deal and go to a diff dealer - “this is what I was offered, can you do better?” I negotiated 2K extra off like that... never tried it before that and somehow it worked. It took me 3 days.

I agree with this, negotiating is a two way street. When i picked out the truck i really wanted, the salesman i got was a condescending a-hole and wouldn't budge a penny from the listed sticker price. When i asked him if everyone he deals with just pays sticker price without trying to negotiate a better deal, he had no reply, and just rolled his eyes. I made an offer on the truck and walked out. My wife was so pissed, that on the hour long drive back, she insisted on sending an E-mail to the sales manager to document our horrible treatment at their dealership, and named the salesman in question. :angrygirl: The next day we got a reply from the sales manager apologizing for the treatment we received, and admitted that he had several complaints about the way this salesman treated some customers, and he would accept the offer i made. The offer i made was 3k less than sticker, not including all the rebate and discounts they allow. My summery to this long story is to not get intimidated, its your hard earned money, get the truck you want for the right price.

I just bought a ‘21 Limited Nightshade Edition. Everything that would normally be chrome is blacked out, also has 20” rims. Upgraded JBL sound system. It has heated front leather seats, moonroof and parking assist. I got them to throw in running boards in my deal. My first Toyota and it’s pretty damn sweet.

That’s like one of the tundras we are negotiating for now. Salesmen are nice enough. Have to admit they seem to be selling trucks like hot cakes at one of the dealers. Let’s see what today brings...hopefully a tundra in my driveway.

I was lucky enough to get mine at the height of the initial pandemic fear when nobody was buying anything before supply dropped. They practically gave me the truck. Glad I didn’t have to play those games.

Dealers can't even keep up with current demand, so the market for great deals is pretty much nonexistent. I don't think this is one of those walk out the door and have them earn your business climates as they don't really need your business. If you don't buy it today, someone else will tomorrow. If you want a great deal, wait until the 22s hit the lots and try to snag a leftover 21 from whatever little inventory remains 9 months from now. I would just focus on getting a price with which you are comfortable and be done with it.

I called a dealer about a Tundra that they had, sold the previous night. I called my normal dealer about a Tundra. Sold that day. I called my dealer about a tundra they had at a sister location, sold that day. I was told at first "NO NEGOTIATION" on Tundras right now, just 2k cash back. I said I was not in a rush and to call me when they could do 10% off sticker. They emailed back the next day saying and we were able to meet in the middle around 7% off sticker which I feel like was the best I could get in my state or neighboring state.

I told my dealer what I wanted and they found it TWO states away and traded for it to get it to me. The market right now is absolutely in the Dealers favor and negotiations are quite slim. Unless you are looking for a gray or white truck, its hard to even FIND stock in certain parts of the country.

The fact they were even able to get a trade is impressive and this has been exactly my experience as well. I did a multi-state search with similar results. They were either already sold or sold before I could even get to them and this includes a dealership that is 15mins away from my house. I got tired of chasing vehicles that were gone the minute they hit the lot. I found a dealer a couple hours away that would put in an allocation at a reasonable price based on today's market, so I moved forward and am playing the waiting game until it gets filled.

We finally got a little wiggle, but we decided to take a day to think. Risky, but it’s not like I have to have this specific truck. Cross your fingers that it all works out and I get a good deal on a 1794 - whatever that means these days. Snowed today too, and supposed to be icy tomorrow. I’ma throw a fit if the roads are too bad and we haven’t closed the deal. Here’s a pic...

Good luck, there are so many upgrades you will want to do. Its a beautiful color. The 1st thing I would do is get new tires, so think of that in the negotiations. :spending:

In my area, if you find the Tundra you want you better make the deal RIGHT NOW. They go quick. Forget about finding a TRD Pro in Vermont at the moment. Best of luck with your purchase.

I would absolutely buy that truck. Was looking for a 1794 w/ the offroad package myself, but the dealer couldn't locate one and settling on a Pro thats coming in 2 weeks.

It looks to have the Michelin LTX tires. I like my LTX's. They have been a very good tire.

I agree with that. Tires are the first thing everybody wants to change. The only downfall to these tires is looks. Functionally, I have been very happy with them. Miles better than the stock off road tire on the Tacoma.

I've personally never looked the cosmetic aspect when choosing a tire.

Local sales lot has been vacant all summer, all they have is a bunch of used stuff they bought at auction. Just this week 1 Tundra showed up, and they have a few Tacomas. Most likely they’ll be done and gone in a few days

low supply and apparently people are still buying when they become available... wonder if I could sell my 2020 for what I paid last feb. heard some crazy used prices!

Everybody loves to hate these tires, but they’re fantastic. They perform really well on and off road. There are clips on YouTube of stock Tundras successfully tackling all sorts of off-road situations. In a few I’ve seen, the driver is pleasantly surprised at how those tires perform. The stock LTX is a great tire.

I say this as someone who went to 285/75 Duratracs after 2 months of ownership. :notsure:

Its mostly about looks, the stock tires make the Tundra look so naked in my opinion. Compared to some KO2 or Cooper At3 Xlt. I got Cooper :mudding:

Thought Coopers were proven to be louder even though they are a good tire? I went K02.
