Yes sir. Line-X with UV coat. Sliders came raw so Line-x sandblasted them before etching and coating. Turned out nice!

Dropped the truck off last night for leather, tints, and linex. Will post pics when I get it back later this week.

In the meantime, they gave me a sweet Rav4 to drive. Thing feels smaller than my corolla did.

I want some tint. Wish we could have it in NH. Tried it on two different vehicles, and got busted twice.

Really? They allow zero? My guess 0 on fronts only then? IL used to have that, but it has changed since.

Yes, sorry. 0 on fronts, and ok with OEM rears. I had 35-40%, almost nothing on my last one, and I still got busted.

Ordered up some Bilstein 5100's yesterday. Will put the Spidertracs on there when I get them and have the front wheels off. Waiting on approval from the fun police regarding the Duratracs going on. Should be any time now. I'm thinking 275/70R18's on the stock wheels. I don't want to do any cutting or anything yet...yet ;)

I considered a set of Duratracs in 275/70R18 when I was pricing tires, but I had two different tire shops tell me Goodyear was discontinuing Duratracs in that size. The shops said they will still be available in some sizes, just not that size. I was worried about replacements down the road in case I ruined a tire so I stayed clear of them. I didn't call Goodyear Corporate to verify so I don't know if they knew what they were talking about, but I found it odd that two different tire store chains told me that. I'm sure there is an ample supply of that size out there to last at least a few years in case you go that route.

If they made a 295/70R18 I'd go that route in a heartbeat. Even 285/70R18. Their sizing in that tire is really perplexing.

That's interesting. I have a good friend that is a manager of a tire chain store and he told me he couldn't get that size. But then I found that Town Fair Tire carries them. How long ago were you looking at them? Possible I'm catching them not knowing or not saying?

It was probably four weeks ago. In case you're interested, I ended up going with Nitto Ridge Grappler in that size and I really like them. They look aggressive but are pretty quiet on the highway.

I appreciate that. I have been using the Duratracs to plow on all of my other trucks, so I was planning on sticking with what I knew. How does the Nitto work in the snow? Last time I read about it (a few years back) the Duratrac and the BFG MT (I believe, may have been the AT) were the only two severe snow rated tires out there.

They look awesome on your truck though!

Just tell the LEO you thought it was live free or die! I grew up there and had 20% fronts on two different cars and never had any issues.

My biggest concern was winter driving too so I did not go with an M/T. I went with the TOYO Open Country C/T. Looks like a beefy A/T but tromps like an M/T. Severe winter rated and I rarely slip. If you're in Maine you have more ice than we do so maybe have a look. I love mine. They were built to be the Duratrac rival

I accidentally shot you a picture of the M/Ts first. They aren't great in snow. The C/T would be the ones I recommend for your conditions

I live at very high elevation and receive upwards of 500 inches a year. I've always used A/Ts on work trucks and snow tires on personal vehicles so I do a TON of snow driving

NY just passed a tint law that is going to make keeping a tinted vehicle very difficult. Any inspection shop now has to scan the front windows and if it doesn't allow 70% of light or more to pass through, they won't pass it. Only way to have a tinted vehicle now is the peel it and have it redone every single year. Sucks. I'll only have mine on for another 5 months.

BFG at KO2 are severe snow rated. I have them in 275/70r18 on the stock OR wheels. I live where we can get 2' of snow overnight (we did last week) and get 8-12" at a time on the reg. I think the tires are great. I drive reasonably in the snow and heavy snow but not once have I felt nervous or uncomfortable with the performance of the tire. Once I get back within walking distance to the house I'll push my luck a little and the tire handles it no sweat. I'm stock suspension too (TRD off road).

I don't know for sure. Check for the 3-peak mountain with a snowflake on the sidewall.
