Rock sliders. They look good and protect the rocker panel if you play on big rocks off road.

I like my Westin HDX. But @Sunnier is correct sliders are the way to go for offroad. I have RCI on the FJ cruiser and have been used atleast twice so far.

+1 on the N-Fab podiums. I am liking them quite a bit.

Rock sliders give protection in addition to the steps, but they cost 2-3 times more. I doubt I'll ever put my truck in the position that I need sliders, so I opted for the podiums.

Keep an eye on the powdercoat. Mine started getting faded spots after a couple of months. Thats why I went with the Line-X route.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I've never had a use for Cab-Length model steps, bars or boards. Wheel To Wheel is all I consider. Resized_20191226_134349.jpg No mater who builds them or what they call them.

I had Amazon's 4inch iBoards on as a stop gap. For the price and ease of installation they were decent boards with a rubberized surface, my only gripe is I should have gone with the 5" or 6" boards, the 4" are a hair on the narrow side.

I just had Bestop NX Powersteps installed (similar to the Amp Research retractable boards) and I've got to say I really like them a lot so far!

I like those that tuck up close to the truck and while I have the bar type steps that came on my truck I prefer the flat style (like the stockers on my 06 4Runner). The flat style is more useful as a step and helps with people parking close and banging up your doors, as long as they are not the narrow 3-4 inch versions.
