Great success, partly, after reconnecting the ground and rotating the treated half stuck pistons we got the truck to turn via starter.
The problem now is the 4.6 transmission, that is spliced to the EWS system.
In my prior post I contemplated about swaping the transmission, and considering the tranny had 325k miles on it, I decided to keep the fresh 4.6 tranny.

Now after thinking it over again, I feel the same.

I am going to contact my BMW programmer and see what he can do.

But first I wanted to check in with you guys and see if anyone can refer me to a TOYOTA tech that handles programing the ECU and/or TCU.

I in Los Angeles but and used to shipping out my DME/ECUs out for programming/flashing.

    Any/ALL feedback is appreciated.

    :yay::yay::yay:

Well, I’m happy to say that the mission is accomplished and the 2013 tundra 5.7 to 4.6 swap is very much possible.

I have zero codes the codes and the truck starts right up.

now I just have to bolt cab down a ake it for a spin.

What I took from this build:
-if using the secondary air pump you have to hardwire the 4.6 plug.
-use the engines ecu and program the bodies vin in the ecu
-you dont need to change the pedal.
-you must use new engines drive shaft
-you must have new engines transmission cross member

-If you get the codes below
    1 p1604 startibility malfunction
    2 p1604 startibility malfunction
    3 p0300 Random misfire detected
    4 p0011 Intake camshaft position timing-- over--Advanced (Bank 1)
    5 p0012 Intake camshaft position timing-- over--Retarded(Bank 1)
    6 P0014 exhaust camshaft position timing-- over--Advanced(Bank 1)
    7 p0015 Intake camshaft position timing-- over--Retarded(Bank 1)
    8 p0016 crankshaft position-- camshaft position correlation--Bank1 sensor A
    9 P0017 crankshaft position-- camshaft position correlation--Bank1 sensor B
    10 P0018 crankshaft position-- camshaft position correlation--Bank2 sensor A
    11 P0018 crankshaft position-- camshaft position correlation--Bank2 sensor B
    12 p0021 Intake camshaft position timing-- over--Advanced (Bank 2)
    13 p0022 Intake camshaft position timing-- over--Retarded(Bank 2)
    14 P0024 exhaust camshaft position timing-- over--Advanced(Bank 2)
    15 p0025 exhaust camshaft position timing-- over--retarded(Bank 2)
    16 P0031 Ho2s heater control circuit low (Bank 1) sensor 2
    17 P0032 Ho2s heater control circuit low (Bank 1) sensor 1
    18 P0051 Ho2s heater control circuit low (Bank 2) sensor 1

THIS MEANS THE TOP HALF OF YOUR ECU'S PINS ARE NOT MAKING CONTACT WITH THE CONNECTOR.

-the 5.7s air intake box is a direct fit

Ok just when I thought I was ready to roll the truck out of the bay.
car wont shift properly it only goes into S the wheels roll, but when you want to reverse the Reverse light does not light up and the truck does not engage even though the cable shifts the gear into gear.

Can anyone explain what is happening?

Ultimately, I think you're going to need the 4.6L ECU and harness from the donor truck, or A donor truck. There's more to the ECU than just the firing order. I suspect your A760 transmission is getting bogus commands from the 5.7L ECU, and it's confused. JAWAG.

You'll probably need to determine the correct ECU part number, and scrounge ebay or junk yards for correct ECU and harness. I would at least record the component destinations of the harness branches if you find locally. You may have to do some repinning or rewiring to integrate the ECU to the chassis.

you think its just no oil I didnt check and cant remember if i drained it at some point.
I am already running the 4.6 ecu.
rewiring sounds right there is a blue wire going to the tranny that is suspect.
but first I want to check and fill transmission fluid.
what happens when these trucks get low on trans fluid?

No transmission fluid?? Yep, fixing that would be a good starting point for diagnosis.
Maybe you'll be OK since you didn't actually load the transmission. :fingerscrossed:

The tranny sucked down 2 liters of fluid before the gears started synching.

It took some driving but the gears are shifting crisp and running smooth.
Considering that this is my first Toyota truck, ill have to drive my dads tundra and feel the difference.

I was not expecting a japanese car to be so fun to work on everything is straight forward and parts are sturdy.

Crossed fingers did the trick, I did some wrenching, and the lift did the rest.

Thanks to everyone that pitched in, it kept me going.

    How's your truck doing?

I'm in a similar project, I have a 2015 4.6 2WD and I'm converting to 4WD using parts from a 2008 5.7 limited. I plan to swap the AB60 transmission to the 2015 4.6. Did you have to reset the ECU to accept the new transmission?

Do you have any advice for me?
