Now that my customer service issues with Ethos are behind me, I thought it would be a good idea to post a review of their spray sealant/cleaner, Defy. I decided to try this after Brian from Apex Detail seemed to really like it. One big issue with Ethos products, that they are fixing, is price point/quantities. Their offerings, almost across the board, were small sizes with big price tags. To give you an idea, Defy was 17.95 for an 8 oz bottle....pretty pricey.

They now sell Defy in a gallon size, still pricey at 69.95, but certainly a better value than before. It is a super versatile product, as you can use it as a quick detailer, a waterless wash, a post-wash coating topper to name a few. I also use it for quick touch ups on the chrome wheels on my wife's Yukon (I hate them). It is very easy to use, leaves excellent gloss and (near BeadMaker) slickness. It lasts much longer than BeadMaker, and has the added ability for light cleaning. To give you an idea, I went around the Yukon with it today, and used less than an ounce....so a little product goes a long way. Thanks to its value, durability, and versatility, it now has a place on my detailing shelf.

Good to know! I've read a lot of people like defy. I think like others, price has deterred me from ever purchasing. I think a lot more companies are coming out with a similar multipurpose products. Xtreme Solutions Jersey Devil, Ethos Defy, even Griots new ceramic quick detailer is very similar.

To be honest, I only bought the gallon size of Defy because it was 25pct off with free shipping. I'm way too cheap to pay full price for anything. I'm a huge fan of slickness, and Defy is very close to BeadMaker....which is about the slickest stuff I've used. I'm gonna be taking a lot closer look at Xtreme Solutions lines too....really like the look of their polish and compound offerings.
