For those of you who have ventilated seats in your Tundra, how effective are they? I haven't had opportunity to try this feature out other than on a short test drive, and it wasn't on a hot summer day, either, so I have no idea if they really make the ride more comfortable. I would say that I could feel air gently, almost imperceptibly, blowing through the perforated leather seat, but given that it wasn't hot outside it was hard to tell if this would be a useful feature or not. I am interested in learning how the experience of others has been. What do you think?

Once the AC kicks in, and cools the cab, they are nice. I notice them more if I am wearing thinner clothing or driving naked. Otherwise they are less noticeable. They do provide nice cooling to the backside in the summer. Since it is circulating cab air and not actively cooling the air, it requires ambient air temp to be cool for you to notice it. I like having it. And if I lived in St George I would think it would be nice to have.

Welcome to the forum @Mtn Dew
I don't have ventilated seats, but with my aftermarket remote start, I get my interior cooled down in Texas heat before I get in the truck...

The ventilated seats are pretty much useless in the tundra. In jeans you can’t tell they are even on.

I wear hybrid board shorts just about every day, and I love them. But agreed with all the above; hard to tell if you are wearing anything thicker.

I have a 2018 Platinum and I think that the ventilated/cooling function of the seats are WORTHLESS!. The heat option is nice in the winter, but otherwise........

Ventilated seats make a difference for me during long trips driving south early on summer days. The angle of the sun cooks me without warming up the car. I’m usually wearing shorts and a light cotton tshirt. Other than that or similar drives, they don’t do much.
    TMI?

I had ventilated seats in my Highlander Ltd, they were okay, but not something I would miss if I didn't have them. Which I don't have them in my Tundra. Like above, unless you're wearing light clothing or naked, you really don't feel the breeze......

I think having leather the ventilated seats are a necessity. The warming function heats them up in the winter which I use daily during winter and the cooling function I use when starting in hot condition and on log rides in summer. Even with jeans on it helps cool down any swampiness that may set in on long hot drives. The AC just doesn’t cut it for me in that region. It’s not super noticeable but it does cool down the bottom side and can get quite cold!

In the summer I really like having the ventilated seats. If it’s cold enough here to wear pants then I am using the heat function.

I like mine, they definitely help reduce or eliminate swamp butt on those long drives.

A bonus is that when you expel some gas you can share with others quickly.

The tundra center seats are almost worthless. I have. 2020 highlander and it works like a champ. The tundra... I can’t even tell when I turn it on.

The ventilated seats are a joke, however the A/C has no problem keeping my cabin cool in 100F+ days, so for me it's a draw.

I live on the Gulf Coast, and it gets HOT and HUMID down here. I wear jeans to work every day and can tell you that while the seats are not blowing A/C air, the circulation they add keeps me from sweating in my jeans. No, I don't feel the draft, but their effectiveness is unquestionable. I could live without them, but I would rather not.
