    Evening!

So I've tried loading music (mp3 format) into a 32GB USB drive. When I plug it in to the factory radio on my 2013 Tundra (not the JBL system) and select USB as the source the radio seems to "scan" the drive, starting at track 1 and goes all the way through then starts back at one. No sound, no text, nothing.
    10.0.0.0.1
I've tried putting the mp3 files in the root folder as well as a dedicated folder. No dice.

Anyone else have, then solve, this issue?

Check the format. I’m not sure what formats the radio can read, but maybe it’s not compatible with the one you have. Does a different usb stick work?

I had similar issues with my truck. The manual says it needs to be a USB 2.0 drive formatted in FAT32 (if I recall correctly; don't quote me on that). Not sure if the 2nd gen trucks have the same requirements as the 3rd gen.

Yeah use fat32. I know mine can read a bunch of formats...

The issue I had with mine is it can't read exFAT but that's the only format that can be used on a thumb drive that's big enough to hold all my music.

    https://www.howtogeek.com/316977/how-to-format-usb-drives-larger-than-32gb-with-fat32-on-windows/

Check out this link above - larger USB drives by default want to be formatted in exFAT, but you can do it via powershell.
I've got a 256GB in mine and it works fine.

It does take a while, so I'd suggest kicking off the reformat before you head to bed and let it do it's thing overnight.

Yeah, I tried that and it told me it couldn't be done after running all night.

Weird. If you buy a new usb thumb drive they come at fat32 by default if that helps?

This was a new thumb drive but I need 128 gb to hold all my music. Too big for FAT32.
