Well it only took almost a year of owning but finally installed my LEDS. Took advantage of Cyber Monday and went with Vleds for the cabin and 3rd brake light. Got my reverse lights from Dieselleds. Man the output on those reverse lights is nuts.

How far do they stick out on the side? Can you post a picture?

 

I went on a spree of mods the past 4 weeks: bought a used Leitner rack, repainted it and installed. Installed Decked system, Firestone air bags, S-Tech switch module, CaliLED 32-inch light bar, 6 switch module at tailgate, cigarette lighter at tailgate (30A), a few lights in the bed, and some amber fog lights - which I don't like and will remove. Did a little de-chroming with the front end, still waiting for bumper covers. Lots of rack items are planned for storage.

 

Added some decals and underseat storage this weekend.

 

I'm not a hater - but I had the rear sway bar on my 2014, and I did not put it on my 2017. Can't feel one iota of difference. People swear it makes a huge difference, but I have never felt it.

 

Put some new rims and tires on today. Stock SR5 Suspension. BFGoodrich All-Terrain 275/65R18 tire. With 18” Icon Compression wheels with a +25 offset from @sdhq_offroad . NO RUBBING! Thank God! Waiting for my 2019 TRD Pro grill to come in to get rid of all that chrome in the front

How do you like the ride with the air bags and the decked system? I have sag from just the decked and no bags. Thinking of adding them to help level it out.

 

Have any photos showing how much the wheel sticks out?

 

I installed airlift airbags today.

 

Is that legal? I have been pulled over before for not having a front plate.

 

If your state requires a front plate, you have to have one somewhere. Most allow it in the windshield. I know many people with luxury or racing vehicles that won't put one on their bumper. To my understanding, it's not forced to be on the bumper just somewhere facing forward.

 

I think i would rather have it on my bumper than my windshield

Do you know if I can get the sway bar in black from Toyota? I tried looking but can only find red.

 

Paint is cheaper than what Toyota would charge...but if you're wanting the TRD rear sway, it only comes in Red...if you're wanting TRD front, just look for Sequoia front sway as it's the same and in Black...

I’m up in Dfw and have been pulled over multiple times usually for speeding ( luckily all warnings ) and even been behind cops and zero issues in any of my old or current vehicles. Knock on wood.... I know in Texas I have to have one but.... he’ll come to think of it, I don’t know if they check that for inspection or not. Never have failed or been told otherwise. When I get pulled over, I just own it, apologize and tell them I have guns in the car loaded and here’s my ltc haha

 

That has been the best get out of jail free card I have ever had. Haven't gotten a ticket yet, since I got my LTC in TX. case in point, headed into Fredericksburg, doing 70 in 55, while towing my camper, with 2 open roadies in the truck, and on a Friday night-pre-covid. Stash the roadies, spend 10 minutes talking with the nice officer, warning only.....

I normally recommend to my friends to get their LTC, if only for this reason.

 

I painted mine black except for the knuckles. I just installed it this afternoon. It was a piece of cake. If this 100 lb weakling can do it on her own, anyone can.

Me likey a lot! I think I just found my new tire and wheel setup.

 

I’m happy with them. Had to remove the front mud flap, the spat in front of the tire, and they trimmed the splash guard. I’d rather have heated it and pushed it forward, but I wasn’t clear enough with them.

 

Think that would be perfect fit with my fender flares, looks good.
