I bought a 2011 Tundra with the “work truck” package and would like to add cruise control. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks

If its even possible, I'm thinking it will be expensive.

LOL Just reminded me of the original Jurasic Park movie. With the kid playing with the night vision and the lawyer.. What is that? They look expensive, put them away. Eitherway

You will need a cruise control ECU? And you may need to pinout the ECU as well as possibly swapping your throttle body.. cable ones are much easier..... you may need a wiring diagram and a shitload of patience.. It may be prewired, but you may need to do some work...

I can t imagine it would be easy if the model didn t come with it. And mighty dangerous if not done by a professional.

At the very least you need a steering wheel with cruise and a new clockspring. Then probably a trip to the dealer to activate it.

I would think everything else is built into the drive by wire throttle like most other cars nowadays.

On my ‘06 Tacoma base, I added cruise by installing the cruise switch stalk in the steering wheel, the jumper wire from it to the clockspring, and a clutch pedal switch since it was a 6 spd manual. It was super easy, no programming or parameter changes to the ECU needed.

The aftermarket kits I found include wiring, so your Tundra may not be prewired like that??

What engine / transmission does your 2011 have?

Ok I did it! I added cruise and intermittent wipers and it was super easy. I think I’m going to make a YouTube video on it. The key to it is getting the parts off of a wreck that had these two options from the factory.
