    Lots of shenanigans.
Yeah, I don't know if it would be worth the hassle of trying to build something that won't be as stable.

Thanks! When you installed your BD fogs, were you able to wire it to the original fog light switch? I want SAE compliant ones but don't know how difficult it would be to install SAE compliant fogs.

Any idea what my stock TRD Pro front bumper with stock LED fog lights would roughly sell for (No issues with it)? Won't be able to sell until March, but no use in it taking up space in my shed.

    Heads up.
There have been many complaints about the BD SAE/DOT fogs.
    They rushed it to market.

Stick with Diode Dynamics or Rigid if going with an SAE fog.

I have not had any issues yet.... What are the complaints?

I bet many people don't actually aim them....

Did you wire it to the factory switch or an aftermarket one?

Factory. Cut the OE plugs off, added weather packs. They only draw 1.6 (or 1.9 I don't remember) amps. Factory is fused for 10 IIRC. The wires were plenty long to leave a long pigtail on the factory plugs if I ever need to put them back on.

Projection, intensity and general wasting/scattering of light.

A number of SAE side by sides have been done with the BD coming out on the short end.
BDs are badass for every other application, they just missed a few things on that particular setup.

Interesting, I have Rigids on my other truck, they are white vs amber on the BD, but I find them pretty similar it seems? I also don't expect these to be light cannons, they are fogs.

My fog lights are infrared so I’m not worried about any lighting issues with these. Laser code quad ones.

But BD makes a harness that is plug and play for their fog lights to the Tundra. So I got that that to save some time.

Well thanks for wasting my day.... That was a good read though. I did read most of the 200 pages.... I'm seriously looking at the DD max SAE now.... Thanks

I am surprised at how bad the BD did in the testing. Honestly I just bought them as I have been really happy with all my other BD stuff. Did zero research...

So the C4 Overland Series bumpers are going on soon. They just shipped... so after powder coat etc... I have an M8 winch that I was going to stick in there. Dumb question, but am I putting too much weight up front? 180lbs on the front bumper, plus another 80lbs for the winch. Running Bilstein B8-6112's up front.

Depends what spring rate you're running. 700 lb springs should work fine.

No, but they do make them in two different nanometers (nm) which matters a little depending on what type of NVGs you are using.

If I am gonna swap it may as well go max.... The BD is honestly not bad IMO, but the output readings make me want to try the SS3's.

Unless I find someone going max and has the pros cheap used.
