So you installed LED's in a halogen housing? Looks like it's spilling a ton of light (translation: blinding the shit out of oncoming drivers).

I called them today. They offered 5% off or an exchange. I opted for the exchange. I’ll have to send it back this week and wait for the return to be processed and a new one shipped.

Hopefully I have better luck with the replacement.

as mentioned, you actually can remove it without taking off the whole silver surround, just need some patience and a small screwdriver (or something similar) to push tabs in...I opted to just remove the surround when I had entire dash apart for the 107th time...lol...when taking 4x4 knob apart to swap it, just pay attention to the order/orientation of the small parts, it’ll make your life so much easier when putting back together

Maybe I'm just weird but those welds along the inside of the rail look... well, just look.

Yeah I was able to get it done without removing the whole piece, and you're right about the small pieces inside. I put it on wrong and had to redo it, the way it was spinning was the opposite way. I did use your videos for most of the AJT install. My interior doesn't have a hint of chrome anymore.

Take the molle mount plate out of the equation. The seat jackers raise the front of the seat 1" to give it a little more rearward tilt.
When I test drove a Tundra for the first time one of the first things I noticed was the seat was very flat. Even with the power seats lifted all the way up in the front and all the way down in the back it still felt like I was sliding off the front of the seat.
My other daily driver was an E55, with a very low and down-in-the-seat feel and the Tundra seat just felt uncomfortable in comparison. Apparently this is a common complaint in the Tacoma as well. I thought about just putting some spacers or something under the front seat brackets to raise it up (I did this a long time ago in an old Dodge) but after looking at these I don't think just a spacer would be safe. The front brackets have a guide pin and a recessed area that makes this design a necessity to get a solid mount.
These raise the front of the seat enough to make a difference, but in no way make it harder to reach the pedals or be too crowded between the steering wheel and your legs. With these installed I still have the front all the way up and the rear all the way down and its way better than before.

The molle plate is just an add on since I was going to do the seat jackers anyways. You can mount just about anything to it that has a clip or strap of some sort, stuff you'd normally have in your door pockets or center console. A flashlight and an IFAK are my initial thoughts. Would also be an ideal spot for a fire extinguisher. It's right there inside the door, pretty easy to reach if you're already out of the truck, and right there on your way out if you're sitting inside, but not really in the way of your feet unless you sit with your legs straight down at a 90* angle.

Like I said, the seat jackers are what I was after... the mounting plate is just something I'll try out and see if it works for me.

Actually I see an option for a seat jacker that was not an option when I installed mine. Maybe that’s a new thing

Yeah, they have mounts for just the panel if that's all you want, but these go under the seat brackets to raise it up 1".

Early Christmas present from the S.O. Went ahead and installed it rather than wait, it certainly it not going to be any warmer after Christmas.

As you have probably read here on the forum, adding the rear bar is a great and noticeable upgrade. Probably the most cost effective (best bang for the buck) upgradesway.jpg for the Tundra. Significantly better handling for @$220 and half an hour of your time.

It is a 1. Simple install. It helps to have a 2nd set of hands but it can be installed alone. This video is a good install vid with some great tips.

Difficult depends on who you are. For me it was about a 3/5. Took me at least an hour, possibly longer. Torquing those U-bolts took forever for them to torque to the proper setting. I still need to go back and re-torque to make sure they haven't lost too much since the original install.

Oh, I almost forgot. Built a bed divider out of some extra framing wood I had. Works fine, fits great and $0 cost since I had the material.

Thanks. I guess I have just never experienced this in either of my Tundras. If I put the front seat edge fully down, I feel like it's too flat or tilted forward, but I only have to raise it a centimeter before if feel comfortable, and I have it raised about 2cm from full flat, with probably another 1-2 cm up upward distance left. That's why this mod makes no sense to me - for me it's easily fixable with the seat control rather than installing something under the front seat bracket. With a seat jacker on, I imagine if I used the front seat control to raise the lip, I would feel like I was being folded in half. ;) Maybe my butt is different than everyone else's? LOL

Started de-chroming the interior with a combination of Tufskinz matte black and AJT Designs black. Didn’t tackle the 4WD & climate control knobs yet. Planning to tear apart the dash when my anytimebackupcamera.com kit shows up.
I wish there was a de-silver kit. Thinking of using matte or satin black vinyl wrap on the silver pieces. 32F2A929-C213-4649-B00C-956E5F066610.jpgF0506EED-60F0-4914-AE9A-1F097739EB45.jpg39AFF7AA-3680-48ED-B44F-60F53BF31D5E.jpgDF59B555-0976-48B6-9E37-7E7CC0409BBA.jpg

Where have people been hating on this? Most everyone on here loves the rear sway bar.
The front sway bar has a mixed feeling about it. Most agree it is an upgrade from the stock front bar but most don't think the improvement is worth the cost and rather spend that on other mods.
If you can PM me a link to where people hate on them, I'm curious what they are saying since that is the opposites of everything I've seen.

    Edit: had typo...
