    Hi guys,

I have a 2018 Tundra Platinum CrewMax 4x4 that I primarily use on pavement and towing my bass boat (~3000lbs). I never lifted a truck before, so all of this is new to me but I’ve been creeping these boards for awhile now and learned a ton. I just want to make sure I know what I need to fit some bigger tires

I’m looking at putting on some 305/55 r20 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 on Fuel Blitz wheels. This comes out to 33.2” x 12”.

This is the look I'm going for: https://www.customwheeloffset.com/w...undra-fuel-blitz-bilstein-suspension-lift-3in

From what I’ve read on this forum, Bilstein’s 5100 seem like the way to go for how I use it. I’d like to keep a slight rake since I do a lot of towing, but nothing crazy.

As I understand it, I should put the 5100s at the max setting all the way around. From what I can tell, the 5100s at the max setting in the front and doing nothing in the back will level it. So adding the 5100s to the rear will give me that slight rake I'm looking for, correct?

    My questions are:
    • Will this give me enough lift to fit this tire setup setting the 5100s to the highest setting or would I need to do the 6112/5160 combo instead?
    • Am I going to need to do any trimming to fit these tires with the 5100 setup?
    • Am I going to need shackles to get the rake I need, or will the Bilsteins be enough?
    • Will I need to do a diff drop with this setup since I tow?
    • Is there anything else I’d need or I’m missing?
    Thanks.
    -Nate

I'm following this to get responses, as I am also a noob when it comes to suspension lifts, but i do believe that the 5100's don't do anything in the back. You'll need shackles in the rear to keep the factory rake.

I have a 2017 platinum with a rough country 2.5-3" level kit. I'm running 305/55/20's. All this came with the truck. I believe the stock tires are also 55/20's... side by side, they're the same height. The 305's are really wide. I had a helper spring in the back for 1" lift, which I removed. With a 3" front lift, you will need something in the back like a block, leaf pack, or shackles to retain rake. The rear 5100's are not a lift.

With 3" or more, from the forums, it's recommended to change out UCA's. Diff drop kits are debated on this forum. I can't speak to them as I haven't done it.

I'm currently working towards REDUCING my height to 1.9" with 6112's and going with a different tire/wheel setup. I currently have riderite airbags in the rear which I can change for different loads or towing.
Hope it helps. I'll try to get a picture today as I just took off my RTT for the winter.

    Thanks for the info!

The stock tires on my truck are 275/55/20 right now. Does it look like they did any cutting to get the 305s to fit?

Looking at the Coachbuilder Shackles, I'm thinking I would need the +2's, which give 1.25" of lift in the rear. I think that's a subtle enough lift in the back to keep it from looking like it's twerking when it's unloaded, and not too butt-down when I have the boat attached.

Shackles sound about right. The lift and tires was by previous owner. The trimmed the front mud flap.
    That’s it.

I haven’t spent any time looking at stock trucks to see why they trimmed it here. But that’s what I have. , lol.
It looks like it’s nose high , but measurements show it lower by 1/4” in front.
