Tire size after a 3" lift

Hi
I'm a new Tundra owner, I bought a 2018 TRD Sports with 12600miles. I bought a 3" lift kit.
I did some checks and found i can run 305 55 20.
Can anyone confirm if this info is correct?

yes, the 305/55/20 will fit, however, a 33" tire is going to look small on a 3" lift. instead, i recommend that you run a larger tire such as: 295/60/20, 35x12.5, or a 295/65/20. the 295/60/20 (34") will fit with a tiny bit of plastic trimming and the other 2 will require more trimming. running those larger tires will also depend your wheel offset. if you keep your offset higher than +18mm, you will be fine.

I've lifted my truck with the rough country 3" lift kit..Installed yokohama 295/65/20
at full turn the tire touches the chassis..any suggestions on what can be done.

 

is it touching the body mount? If so, you can have the body mount chop done. It’s probably a couple hundred bucks.

 

Where is it hitting...at the bottom of the wheel well right behind the tire? If so you would need a body mount chop.
