0363FBBE-7AED-4053-B3F2-C2DA3F4DFBDD.jpg Ok after reading for months on here i basically found a lot of answers and also found a lot of contradictions as well . Bottom line everyone has their own opinion and viewpoints and live in different areas of the country .

The Bilstein 5100 on top setting raised truck a tad over 2 inches in the front . The ride was more stiff but honestly better , the truck Doesn’t rock back n forth like it used to and seems more stuck to the pavement and well grounded . It’s exactly how I want it . Still very smooth but firm . I don’t see the need to upgrade to 6112 to be honest on mostly pavement driving . Being on Long Island we don’t have places to really 4 wheel , but a lot of beaches . So truck is basically a pavement queen . So where u live and the terrain is important factors in your decision making .

As for the rear end I raised the truck with an SST 1 inch block . Yes many recommended lift shackles but local shops said the block will be fine especially mostly road driving and to be honest I noticed no different in the ride from the rear , no wheel hop and stays stable to the ground And still using the stock TRD bilstein 4600 shocks In rear . I have no desire now to upgrade these rear shocks to the 5100 at this time . Truck seems stable and very balanced as is .

Front end from ground to fender well is exactly 39 inches
Rear end from ground to fender well is now 40.50

Overall spent about $800 for entire lift With parts and alignment . I was concerned about the stiffness in the ride and getting the exact rake I was looking for . Well The ride was better then I anticipated and the rake came out perfect , the rear is 1.5 inches higher then front which is perfect to me . This forum is great and filled with a lot of good info !!!

Wheels and tires are next !!!!

I'm having the 5100's installed on my truck this weekend. Your situation sounds very similar to mine, i.e. mostly concrete driving and no off road. I'm glad to hear you're happy with them.

Love my 5100s as well. Installed on all four corners with fronts set at top setting. Perfectly leveled my truck.

A little stiffer than OEM set up. But I actually like a firmer ride.

I know this thread is old, but how are the 5100 after a year? I’m thinking about putting them on my tundra soon! What’s the difference between the 5100 and the 6112?

5100 is a 2" diameter shock vs. 2.5" on the 6112. 6112 also comes as a kit with new springs.

Just installed 5100 at highest setting. Really enjoying the ride compared to oem. Thankful for these threads.
