Changed out the mirror caps today. Not digging the black, so I’ll probably end up getting them color matched.

You can aways wrap them in that vinyl your wifey used for the letters on her sequoia. It should match enough to not notice.

 

That’s a good idea. I’ll take a look later. If not, getting them painted should be cheap. Got the mirror caps and pro grill painted on the Sequoia for 80 bucks.

That is mean.

I really like the color on vehicles with nice body lines but personally I don't like it on a Tundra.

 

I am generally not a fan of white unless there are exciting body lines, which is why I don't care for the Super White so much, but this adds some much needed depth to it. As much as I love the term that shall not be spoken as a descriptor and the reactions from Jason; I like the Wind Chill Pearl on the Tundra. If I could somehow pull off a lateral debt move into a Wind Chill Pearl, I would be VERY tempted. It looks classy on the Tundra and is a clear step above the work-truck/cable installer white on every other truck, Tundras included.

 

I can appreciate this perspective. I didn't like how the color was characterized as "old lady" even if I do agree white in general is a feminine color. Everyone knows Metallic Champaign is the "old lady" color; Porsches are the only cars to pull it off.

Toyota's modern design language is very simple and subtle for the outbound Tundra. Its a brick but that's what appeals to me. I do like the contrast of the Nightshade Edition (lets see if the pic shows) :

 

Main reason I switched was for ease of taking care of the paint. The black was just too much work, and no matter how careful I was I still had microscratches all over it. We’ve had the Sequoia for a year and a half, and it’s just so much easier to keep looking good. Imperfections don’t show on it, and it stays clean a lot longer.
It’ll never look as good as black does, but at least it’s not dirty again an hour after I wash it. Had to wipe the black one down every single day to keep it right. My back and hip problems have made it a real chore to keep doing.
This being the last year for this model was a big factor as well. Not to mention I’d run out of things to do to the other one, so it’s fun to have a project again.

 

Luckily I don’t really care what anyone else thinks about it.

 

That's the way it should be. Vehicles are for the owner's enjoyment not anyone else.
