I have a 2020 tundra and I am trying to tap into the trailer harness to wire in a led tailgate light strip. I have search the internet on what the wire colors are, but mine do not match. Anyone know on the 2020's? I figured they would be the same.

I seen that, but the colors don't match mine. Where it says backup lights it is shaded green. Mine is yellow. And there yellow mine is red. So that's my dilemma.

Go by pin location and not wire color

I did base on the cover door and I still couldn't get my lights to work. I used posi taps. Not sure if they mad a connection though. And the fact it got dark on me and it was cold as shit outside didn't help. I will try again in a few days when it warms up.

Problem solved. I think with the fact that it was cold outside the outer part of the wire got hard and the posi taps didn't penetrate the wire. And the fact I was rushing because it was getting dark.
