    Hmm, that's strange. When I lock mine it tightens down very tight with zero play at all.
    Before I did anything like replacing the lock or adding anything to it I'd just tap on the cam and see if you can bend it just enough to tighten it up. Or try tightening up the screw that holds it on, might be a little loose and not engaging solidly.

    I am going to do that or look for a little piece of rubber to slide on the end to tighten it up. It doesn't bounce or make noise when driving, just a little loose when pulling on it.

    Dave I just got my safe from Sparks and sure as sh!t my rear right corner is bent down. Is that just shipping or what?! How much effort was it to tap the corner back into proper form?

    Strange isn't it. I think it may just be a production issue or packaging at the factory because it's always the right rear corner. Use a rubber mallet on the corner to bring it back up level. Go slow so not to go to far.

    I actually ordered the half safe in the link below when someone here posted it in the Black Friday thread. It was on sale for $58. I will be a guinea pig on it I guess. If it’s junk I’ll send it back but I figure any type of safe will slow down or deter the opportunistic thief. If someone wants something bad enough they will get it not matter what.

    Wow, that's a great deal! Looks exactly like mine, same lock. Now I feel like I paid too much at $150, haha!

    True... but the one in that pic looks identical to the one I got off Amazon for $150. If it is the same that's a hell of a deal on what I think is every bit as good as the Toyota OEM version. Hopefully it is the same and everyone here can get a sweet deal on a good safe.

    My $58 one is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. We'll see how it looks. . .

    The site said it was 12 ga steel. Hopefully it was just a pricing screwup by the seller. :D
