I want to go from the current P275/55/R20's i have and try P275/60/R20's maybe the extra inch will help with the ride a bit. Question is will it screw up transmission? hate to have to change rims and go down to R18 rims.

    Thanks,

It's all kinda relative honestly. I have a wheels/tires that are about 45#s heavier at each corner and I'm still on stock 4.30 gears and transmission. Have put 11k miles on it with the setup. I also do lots of highway and live in a flat area. Someone with same setup that drives lots of city and hills may say something totally different.

There are many guys & gals on here that have gone with bigger tires without causing any harm on the transmission. Your odometer and speedometer will be a little off. If the tires are really heavy, your acceleration will be slower.

Will it change things? Yes. It won't damage the transmission if that's what you're asking. Heavier tires, altered gear ratio will affect performance. I doubt the difference will be significant to you, but only you can answer that.

you are fine. 33's on these trucks is not an issue.

Going to 33's will not cause the slightest harm to your rig. You will barely feel any difference in the drive. I went from OEM to 35"s after I purchased my Tundra and that was nearly 20k ago. No problems.

I got a speedo healer thing installed so its pretty accurate. Those digital speed signs are pretty spot on.
