I was very surprised to find that Front Passenger Seat is not adjustable for the height. Most budget cars have simple manual adjustment.
I'm 185cm, which is 6ft, but I can't sit myself comfortable without pushing my head through the roof. Based on my legs, the seat is definitely too high. My driver seat at least couple inches lower. So when I sit on the passenger seat I either have to tuck my head forward or put the seat back in half lay-down position. At the end I'm with either neck pain or back pain after 20 minutes.
In a such tall truck why did Toyota put passenger seat so high?
Does anyone know how to lower the seat?

How do you adjust the height of the passenger seat, specifically to lower it for 6ft person?

I'm 6ft. and sitting in the passenger seat fully upright i still have at least 3 inches from the top of my head to the headliner. My Sport passenger seat only goes front to back and reclines, curious if the higher level trim models give you more options for height.

Same as mine TRD Offroad Premium, only forward-backward and reclining seatback. But I'm hitting a headliner with my head. Do you have a sunroof?
I was wondering is there an adjustment hardware, which can reposition in seat track or bracket to lower it. The seat cushion is pretty high from the floor, so there is potential room to lower if I could...

Which budget cars have height adjustable passenger seats?

You didn’t get a budget car, you got a tundra. Did you not try it out before you bought it?

Never even thought of it. after seeing your post I realized my head is only 1.5-2 inches from the roof in the drivers seat and I am 5-9. I see your point...plus...when I test drove the vehicle I never sat in the passenger seat.

LOL, I did tried it and I had no issues with sitting in the driver seat. The passenger seat looked the same to me, so I did not tried it. My wife sit there fine, but when she drives and I sit on the passenger seat I realized that there is an issue with the seat.
My 4Runner has height adjustment and I did not think that 50k Tundra would not have one.
I have TRD Offroad Premium which is not a budget version, it has Climate Control and Leather Seats. From 2018 Toyota stopped offering Limited and replaced it with Premium, so its just a step down from Platinum which is nearly 10k more. My thought were that there will be an adjustment in such trim level.

2020 Limited TRD Crewmax here, I'm 6' and sitting in passenger seat have about 3" space above my head. However my truck does not have a sunroof. Not sure how much difference that would make.

Sunroof definitely takes some space from the headroom, not sure if its 3" or something like that. I understand that all people different and some may have taller upper portion of the body then others. In my case I think its Toyota miss and I'm looking for a way to fix it.

Interesting that you got Limited for 2020. May be it was available in US, but in Canada they discontinued Limited in 2017 and replaced it with Plus (which was half-way from SR5 to Limited) in 2018, replacing the Plus in 2020 with Premium trim (which is replacement of Limited as many customers complained about luck of Limited in the lineup as I was told by Toyota Canada).
Does your Limited has adjustable height for the passenger seat?

No adjustment for height, I too was surprised with the lack of that.

Which is very strange for me for such a trim level. Even 4Runner in base trim has such mechanical adjustment and in Limited has full power seat.

I'm ok with changing the position of the bracket if possible to lower the seat, but I don't really want to start cutting trimming the seat mount. So I was hoping somebody did already something in the past years as Tundra is on the market for 12 years in this body, and I would not have to reinvent the "bicycle"

    Seems pretty simple to me.
Is there anything under your seat?
In mine there is not and I would fabricate some way to lower it if I wanted to.
If there is stuff under there then either dont let your Wife drive or learn to live with it or relocate the stuff under there and make it work.

I've never been in the passenger seat but my wife has never complained. Both pretty tall. The CM has a lot of room. Just recline the seat.

Then I have a backpain, as its uncomfortable to travel half lay-down. :(

I have no sunroof, does your Off-road Premium have one?, if so, that's probably the reason for the discrepancy in head clearance between the different models. :notsure:

Yes, it does. This is the feature of the TRD Offroad Premium.

Well there you go, that's probably the difference. I never looked at any of the other premium Tundra's because i really loved the look of the Sport, and didn't really need all the extra bells and whistles. But i totally agree that the Premium models should have the option of the same adjust-ability of the drivers seat.

I agree that it should. For those telling him to "live with it". Just think of an 8hr road trip with the guys to go on some 4x4 or ski trip, only to have your passenger get their greasy head all over your clean headliner. I'd be pissed.

Toyota seems to skimp on a lot of the little things. Owned a 2010 4Runner Sr5 with auto up and down window switches. 9 years later we cant seem to get them in a 50k truck. :annoyed:
