So im at a point i will not buy Toyota trucks. Had 2 Tacoma 2010 and a 2017 trd off roads double cabs had this bounce on freeway, now i have a 2019 tundra crew max i bought brand new it also has this bounce, dealership blames the concrete roads says truck is fine. I have done the adding wight to the bed in a lot of different ways bounce does get better but never goes away, unless im doing under 55 or going 85mph no bounce at all. Rather not get a ticket thats going to be expensive for going 20mph over the limit. I have taken the weight out of the bed of the truck my commute is 35 to work and 35 back home the weight just makes me use more gas then i like. I didnt buy this truck to save gas of course but come on dont want to throw money out the window on my to work and home. Just need to know is there any kind of fix now dealership will not budge they blame the freeway concrete. Struggling to decide if i give up and move to a different brand that i really dont wanna do.

Maybe you should have bought a car if you don't need a vehicle with over 1000 lbs of payload. The bounce is undoubtedly due to the rear suspension being set up to haul and tow heavy loads.

I’d suggest selling now. Resale on Tundras is super high and you’d probably get more than you paid!

Where are you located? I used to be in so cal, driving on 405 was bouncy as hell, I-10 between LA and Indio is a bad spot too. It’s the roads not the trucks. Those are the only places I’ve experienced it, some guys on here talk about some places in CO too that the bed bounce is rough.

I’m guessing it only does it on certain stretches of road? At least that has been my experience.

years ago I had a 3/4 ton silverado, it was 4 door long bed. Didn’t have same bed bounce and suspension was way stiffer, I think the limo length of that thing canceled out the vibration.

I just thought you said you were done with Toyota’s...Lots of threads on here and a couple of options to fix: Install new shackles (Coachbuilder or ToyTec are good options), and poly bushings in rear springs and a rear TRD sway bar. This will address 95% of your issues.

The Search function reveals a lot of good information.

Quality shackles help a lot. But they do not cure it. The problem is our frame and suspension. Not the roads. As you point out, not every vehicle has this problem. My 05 tundra did not, my 03 silverado did not. All driven on the exact same so cal freeways.

If you want to get deep into it, consider boxing the frame fully maybe

I am with the dealership. Concrete roads suck. Bouncing along on the road wondering if something is wrong and then road turns to asphalt and all my worries go away. Sucks worse pulling a trailer.

Why did you buy a 3rd Toyota if you had the same issues with the first 2? :annoyed:

From what I know, it's a Big Truck that dives like a Big Truck.

What were you expecting and did you not take it for a test drive on the roads you would be driving it on? I did.

Bed bounce to the point where it's dangerous and close to being out of control? Wow. I'm on my 6th Tundra and don't think I've ever really noticed this....Maybe in a corner on a washboard dirt road. I must be more dense than I thought.

The tundra does not do well on concrete. I even added 500lbs of fireplace stone to my 2019 tundra crewmax and did a test on the main part of i25 highway here in Colorado. It does not go away with 500lbs in the bed so for all those people that say just add weight need to understand that it’s not just a weight thing.

I would suggest test driving another truck brand and selling if it bothers you. I ended up trading mine in for 2020 Sequoia and could not be happier.

I tried the TRD sway bar and it does not help in the section of highways I tried it on. It actually made my bed resonate back and forth even more. Kids in the back seat would always complain and drove the wife nuts.
