Hoping someone can help me out. I want to change my headlight bulbs to LED. Local auto parts don't sell them for tundras. Is there any specific brand that I need to look for? Some stores tell me I have to change some parts.

Nope, no issues. I ended up cutting the rubber dust boots (or whatever they are called), but another forum member said they were able to get them back on without cutting. I don't have the patience. I used flex tape to seal them back up where I cut.

Those lights are on sale for about $5 off right now too. I bought matching fog light bulbs and did those while I was at it.

Sometimes it's not easy to swallow $1000 vs $50.

Do you have the link for the fog light bulbs? Think I might go with these. I want to switch all my lighting to LED.

I went with these....Crossing my fingers they hold up...reviews were all over the place, but they were cheap.

How is the lighting pattern? Are you happy with them?

so far, I am, but if my Auxbeams give me trouble, I’ll try the Morimoto 3.0 bulbs.

I'll have to let ya know. I just installed the headlight and fog light bulbs this evening, but haven't driven or tested it yet.

Biggest issue I have had with "LED bulbs" is the focal point. Blinding others and having to deal with them flipping their brights at me is enough to keep me from putting any in my GX where I use the Sylvania Ultra H11s.
With the OEMs, I don't have anyone flipping lights at me and the nighttime vision is phenomenal. Best mod ever.

Pro Tip: Somehow just stumbled across posts pointing out that the Heatsink comes off the LED bulbs, making it simple to reinstall the dust cover without any sort of cutting. I feel dumb, and wish I would have read that a couple hours ago. Haha.

Drove my truck this evening. My GF was going out at the same time so we did a quick drive by and then follow test. She said that my lights didn't seem any worse than any other vehicles. This was far from scientific of course. As far as my thoughts...It seems like they perform better all around than the halogens, and the truck looks way better now that all the bulbs match the DRL's.

That's interesting about the 2 sided vs 3 sided.

I guess that's why mine have a pretty good spread and cuttoff, they are 2 sided. They were from a Amazon though, sorry. Next time I'll give you guys a try if I don't go full switch of housings.

Which ever price point or brand, you want the front lamps to mimic OEM Halogens that have a cup (circled in red) on your LED’s.

While we don't have a kit that bundles all of this together, we do have each Tundra laid out by Generation with the best performing kits we've found for each application! :)

If it was those Auxlight H11 led bulbs above that were red and black, those bad boys are definitely multi-sided! :spy: I'd just be real careful using a bulb like those on roadways!

Those were the fog lights I ordered. The headlights I'm running are the Auxbeam S1's.
