What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I'm rocking 35s. Gear swap make a big difference?

 

does it come with the censor replacement kit or does the one from your truck fit?

 

You get the grill, sensor cover, 2 push nuts and the TUNDRA access door.
You use your OEM TSS sensor and 3 screws and 2 nuts.

 

Very noticeable.

 

Went out earlier and noticed this rubber strip missing over the driver side door.....
No idea how that would have come off unless somebody pulled it off. Maybe the car wash?
Either way, does anybody know what this piece is called and taking recommendations on vendor for replacement.

 

Car wash blew mine off but I was able to reinstall with just a new bracket. It’s called the “drip molding”. I think Toyota will be the only option for the part.

Drip molding on driver side! I had to replace those when I traded in my Tacoma’s as I drilled through them to install my Prinsu design roof rack on both trucks

I upgraded my drain lines on my tonneau. I picked this up somewhere on this forum, but can't remember where, so can't give the credit, but thanks!

Used 1/2" ID tubing and liquid-tite electrical fittings.

 

Nicely done! Very clean.

 

Spray-in bed liner installed.

Unfortunately, while checking their work, I noticed that the driver-side cargo light was installed crooked from the factory (or, more likely, Gulf States). The shop that did the liner masked and sprayed around the light, not under it, so if I want it perfect I’ll have to drill at least 1 new hole which will leave a gap in the liner next to the light. I could ask the shop to go back and spray under the light, so that I can drill a new hole and mount it straight without the gap, but that seems like a pita.

My OCD is kicking in hard these days.




Those are raindrops on the liner, not gobs of liner material.

 

I’d be asking the bed liner guys to shoot under both lights.

 

Thinkin bout it. How likely is it that they’ll be able to spray that area and have it look like it was done that way from the start? My guess is they’ll have to sand down the edges of where they masked, re-spray, etc.. I don’t wanna bother it if it’s gonna look screwed up after.

 

Dunno - I’m not a bed liner spray guy. But they should know how to do it - the light being over the finished spot will probably hide any “blend” but if a body shop can blend the paint in a panel repair, the bed lined guys should be able to do so with that thick stuff. I also feel like that should have been how they did it to start (under the lights) - I mean, they pull the bed bolts and the accessory rail (at least my local shop did).

 

Toyota in Canada will only sell you the surround with the grille. The guy at the service desk wouldn't even let me buy the pro grille because my vin wouldn't allow it! Gonna try that mcauto site I guess.

 

Couple little additions the last week or so.

Added some vinyl to the steps for extra horsepower:


Baja Designs scene/work light mounted to top as a side light (waiting on other side to arrive today).


And a red Baja Design dome light:

 

The TRD center caps will fit on the stock 18" OR wheels right? (not the pro wheels)

 

Finished mine last night, went for a drive no issues.

 

That Tundra vinyl looks so good on the steps! Great idea. Did you have it made?
