My Echo weed whacker engine smoked. I’m thinking of going battery on the next one.

I went from an echo srm225 to a dewalt flexvolt 60v trimmer and have been very pleased. I also have their flexvolt 600cfm blower, which is awesome.

Air injection pump must have gone out.

I have had good luck with battery. Even the cheap one at menards is on its 3rd season. Will be a Dewalt when this one dies

Heres the one I have, but I was already set up with Milwaukee tools.

    Link.

The only time it quits is if the batteries run out. Not a big issue for me as I have plenty of extras. It clears weeds around trees in our heavily wooded yard of about 8 acres. Does the ditch too.

    received_749330825671511.jpg received_383646269541823.jpg received_316418699314432.jpg

Word of advice for you if you plan on extending your electric yard tool arsenal. Get the one in the link provided with the quik-lok adapter on the shaft. Milwaukee makes a version of the weed eater without this.

Heres a link to that one.

    Link.

If you get the quik-lok one you can use different attachment heads. I have the pole saw attachment. Its sweet.

    Link.

More tools/flexibility with one power base.

We have a clever bunch here to make up for the boredom that reliability causes. On other big 3 forums it's known as derailment.....

I had the privilege to try an EGO trimmer when I was in FL. My neighbor's mower had died and he asked to borrow my lawnmower. 2 weeks later, he bought an EGO mower and trimmer. He saw me bring out my Ryobi 18v trimmer and came out to stop me. He let me use his EGO trimmer and it was amazing.
