Fourth tank of gas in the new truck.

 

Thats why I fill up at a half a tank if I can. Not like it's any difference but it's a mental thing for me. Filled mine up for $33.56 today...This truck is awesome on gas!

 

Found a used 1992 Fender Squire Strat.. thrift shop find, oh sooooo cheap $25 . I know, (Korean made). Plugged in, Sounds good. I’ll restring it and give it to my neighbor’s son, just started plying with enthusiasm..

 

See, now I’m the opposite. I’m LOVING the fact that even though it has a 6 gallon reserve (just like my 2008 had), that extra 12 gallons gives me almost 200 miles more range! Instead of filling up every Friday night and Monday morning, I can go a FULL WEEK (or a touch more) between fills.

 

That’s exactly $1.00 more a gallon than I paid last night. I do wish I’d waited 3more months and got a 16 with the larger tank. Filling up ever 300-340 miles is a pain sometimes.

 

The other night my wife saw a truck with blue rock lights and asked if I could do that on our truck. I said sure but I was saving for a new suspension setup...she said can you do the lights first!

PaPOW! Broke the news about the upgraded suspension and she has no room to complain when I do it.

For now the lights. Off for a week and will get-r-done

Nice! Yup, definitely solder and heat shrink for connections exposed to elements. Got these for quick under the dash connections (radio, USB ports, etc) that aren’t super critical. Used to use pliers and then dimple pliers. Will give these a shot!

Just make sure that you have them centered in there correctly and do not get any skin in there,trust me on this!

No. I bought my own wire and have put together the rest of what I'll need. Have some diodes so I can have them come on when doors are opened and the AMP Powersteps deploy but not deploy the steps when I turn the lights on.

Picked up a baja designs dome light for the bed of the truck. Chose green. For $75 I was expecting something bigger but they say it throws 400 lumens so we will see.

Finally received my Blue VLED Foot-well kit after they initially sent me the wrong one.
Install tomorrow after i figure out if i want to wire it through my cargo light or not, still undecided.

Bought a 32 quart, 12v compressor fridge from Costco. For $250 vs $800+ for the fancy ones I figured it's worth a shot.

I started with a case of warm Modello's and they were nice and cold within a couple of hours. Then I turned it all the way down and threw some water bottles in there. Took all day to freeze those.

It's been running for a week now and has held temp very well. We'll see how it goes.

 

Where did you purchase them from? I like it!
